Return of Reckoning is a Warhammer Online private server.
Since the announcement of the end of official servers on 18th of december 2013, some people decided to make their best to let this fabulous game alive. To do that, they took back an old emulator project named All Private Server, and continued the work on it.

At this time, Dyox was the main developper, and decided to make his own private server, and made is source code closed.
But after a few month, he realised that he doesn't have enough time and motivation to continue, closed his server and released his sources.

And here comes War-Emu !
While Dyox was working on his own, a little team kept working on the open source emu.
Then, the War-Emu team added Dyox's work on the emulator they were working on.

That's what Return of Reckoning is : a War-Emu private server.

Sometimes characters are not available on selection screen. The other minor issue is some terrain textures too clear, if somebody has an idea why ?

theres a torrent download for the client on their homepage also. you cant to anything with the DVD because its version is so old there and theres no updates in-between

Ok followed your directios created a 32bit wineprefix, copy the game folder into my wine prefix and downloaded the launcher grab all the files thru winetrick as suggested but when I double on launcher it doesnt launch am on wine 2.7 staging. Yes I grab the launcher from guthub.Unzipped out the exe file on war folder. Now you said I should be using dotnet40 nothing higher?!

Mandril you can check it when you go into your wine prefix with 32 but there's only one program files folder.. you can try different windows versions from winecfg also.. did you download the launcher from github link? that's the correct one for linux

yes: $ WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.war winecfg WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.war winetricks directx9 dotnet40 copy the game folder to .war folder inside of Program FIles Grab the launcher from the site you posted copy to root of war folder try to run it and sits there does not open. Will take a deeper dive tomorrow it install both dx9 and dotnet40 and set wine at windows xp.

Xpander...sorry for being a pain in the rear you I got the game running silkie smooth. It was operator error <=== this guy. After I installed the game and the launcher i forgot to run the winebottle in 32 bit :) once I notice what I was doing wrong boom! I was in thanks again!!

great to hear. be aware that this is private server though and there are things broken and not working, but its in a pretty good shape given the tools they have at the hand and no official servers to pull the data anymore :)
