Works better than the native version because native version doesn't even launch for me. Did not risk with Battleye though.

The Linux version runs fine now. I, however, am running Fedora with proprietary drivers. The updated Linux version doesn't have the rainbowing effect, grey water, or the weird vegetation strands any longer. Oil nodes in the water still have a little of those strands that jet out occasionally, but the visuals are much better. I feel that performance took a slight dive with the Linux updates to Meltdown and Spectre, but recently have worked their way back up. That may or may not be attributed to Wildcard updating the files. The game runs smoother generally on Linux, however, the size of the program is crazy. I think last I looked it was 36 gigabytes.

Got it running, had to verify the files and then it downloaded 10.2GB again, though it patched fine before and didn't say that i was missing anything. 36GB is nothing imo, it takes 52GB on my HDD with all the DLCs and the windows version i installed via wine is 76GB :), anyway now i can finally get the benchmark video done, expect a new video within few hours
