Hey! Thanks for checking out Brushwood Buddies. You accidentally started with the challenge modes which are for experienced players (like their description stated) to hunt for medals and compete in leaderboards. They presume that you already know how the game works. The campaign would have been the better choice, as it starts with an in-depth tutorial explaining how the game functions and introducing the game mechanics step by step. :D Best wishes, Steven
