if u open the script, there are values #Resolution RESO=1920x1080 for example to change resolution. and currently yesit does compress data, its controlled by #Constant Rate Factor(0 is the highest quality 50 is the lowest) CRF=20 if u change it to 1 or 0 then the its not compressed and should be quite raw

yes. change the constant rate factor to 1 and it should be.. or alternatively use -vcodec libx264 -vpre lossless_ultrafast instead of current -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast

u just start it in terminal or doubleclick

also u can add keyboard shortcuts. for example /your/location/cast.sh to start the script and binded to some keys u want, then to stop recording you can add killall ffmpeg command to another key. so then i can start and stop recording with easy shortcuts right in the game.
