wine 1.5.23 directx11 and xact needs to be installed installed another Unreal Engine game that runs just good. Ugh it's unreal? Unreal games seems to have problems on linux, at least by me. Stuff like Bioshock2, Alice2, although they should work better, since the Unreal engine isn't such a demanding one, like Cryengine for example.

Sorry didn't see your comment earlier. It should work fine on Ubuntu if you have decent enough hardware. Install Lutris and use this: https://lutris.net/games/aliens-colonial-marines/ - It requires .NET so i think its also possible to use SteamPlay to get it working but you might need to do some tweaks first
