Another year is coming to an End! Again lots of improvements on the gaming front on Linux this year. Finally quite a few Easy Anti Cheat and BattlEye games started to support Steam Play (proton). Lots of DXVK, VKD3D-proton improvements. GPU driver advancements etc. What a time to be a Linux Gamer! Steam Deck seems to be a huge success also, which hopefully will make the game compatibility even better for Linux. I Enjoyed Apex legends on Linux a lot it runs fast stable fps etc.

Yeah. Since the graphics pipeline library its been stutter free experience and super stable. Have had few server issues with high ping only, but yeah other than that, super stable.

Took me awhile to get into Days Gone, but the story does hook you and the horde battles can be quite intense. Loved it personally. Runs perfectly on Linux just as most titles do these days.

Same for me. at first i quit the game after like 40 min of playing, because it felt just another tomb raider or horizon zero dawn. but once you get into the story and the world, its pretty neat..

Thanks. I will investigate the peertube thing in the coming days and will see how viable it is for me for next year. Thanks for suggesting. I used to be on another alternative platform (which name escapes me currently) but it was more hassle that it was worth it.

How do you go with running your games with gsync? I had trouble with this when I was on linux with my dual monitor setup because my second monitor is 60hz and my main monitor is 144hz and because their different refresh rates xorg messes up gysync. How did you get around this? I would love to switch back but that issue was just a deal breaker for me

gsync doesn't work with 2 or more monitors on Xorg. You have to disable other monitor for freesync/gsync to work. I personally dont use it much. I just disable the desktop environment xrandr plugin to overriding my monitor settings. Set the sync to my highest refresh monitor from either nvidia-settings or __GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE=, enable forcecomposition (to eliminate tear with the tiny cost of input lag) and enjoy the full max refresh rate with no vsyncing.
