do you think it's worth getting the Game of the Year edition despite all the negative reviews on this game? I just kind of find it fishy after all the negative feedback, they port it to Linux a few years later.

If you read the negative reviews you will find out that most of them are against implementation of microtransactions. The situation around microtransactions is now a lot better since they are now purely cosmetic and no longer provide any kind of gameplay advantage to those who bought them. Before this implementation Payday 2 had 93% on reviews fyi.

+Matoro Zeliph in my opinion its always good to support devs that bring their games to linux. Now GOTY version has 15DLC's from 30 i think , if this game is your thing i think that 11€ is not too much for bunch of extras. Its just a matter of opinions, i think DLC's are fine if its needed to keep the game going and bring some additional funding to the dev team. Its not good when everything in the game is locked behind DLC's ofc, but cosmetics and larger new missions are fine i guess.

I have vsync off and 120 fps cap and it still locks to 60. Couldn't figure out how to unlock it.

+Door Aprilyansah actually vsync was turned off, but somehow it still applied. but the good thing is that video output while recording is really smooth when its locked to same 60fps as the recording

Hey, have you noticed any frame drops in certain areas? We have really similar specs and for some reason I get 40FPS in most maps I tested depending on where I am and where I'm looking. Tried just about everything and I can think of and now I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing...

+Xpander69 That's comforting to hear lol. Yeah, I really can't be bothered with manually maintaining packages any more than I need to. I have two custom kernels that I use frequently and the Nvidia drivers make that such a pain lol. I always wait until I can at least use abs to save myself time. :p

5had0w5talk3r yeah i have heard lots of complaints about 361 drivers being slower... i built my own packages for 364.12.. im geek when it comes to nvidia drivers, i like to have the latest and greatest

+5had0w5talk3r i didnt play that much, only 2 maps and without recording i never saw below 60 fps.. with recording 52 was the minimum that i noticed. edit: i do use newest nvidia 364.12 drivers.
