Wine 5 is strong outdated. Even on latest 7.19 not run. I think proton uses specific tricks or patches

I have no idea what winehq 5.0.1 is. You can probably run the game if steam and games that use proton work, but i would highly suggest updating your system. 4.17 kernel is really ancient

Runs great thx. I´ve same operatingsystem and hardware but instead of rtx 3080 i use a rtx 2070 O8G OC. Runs smooth like butter ~70 fps at 1440p on ultra and quality dlss. Great vid. 😎

Not really. its just few frames of a drop with recording. It's my CPU thats bottlenecking the GPU a bit and also the VKD3D overhead + i didn't use any DLSS or FSR, just native 1440p

I used proton like i mentioned in the video description. If you want to start with regular wine, im not sure if it works, but you might need to add PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 into the lutris environment variables or in bottles or in your scripts, whatever you are trying to use to launch it
