we had a great year for linux gaming.. many indie titles and also some nice Triple A titles got released  for linux this year!

While it was nice year for Linux Gaming, lets hope next one is even better!

well yeah its eON, so its technically not so native..but it supported for our platform unlike with wine... and some other native games use dx to ogl wrappers also so i dont really care.

its not borderlands 2 .... its the pre sequel.... and witcher 2 should at least be number 2 or 3

yes it is the pre-sequel ..both are pretty much same games.. i also said *including pre-sequel thatswhy :) ... and witcher 2 for me its not on the numbere 2 or 3 because i dont like the combat there that much

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I can't believe you didn't list the Metro Redux Series (Metro Last Light and Metro 2033). I haven't played Metro 2033 yet, but Metro Last Light (I own the original) is story-wise one of the best FPS I have played and I have heard nothing but good things about Metro 2033 Redux. They look and play great, too!

How's Witcher 2 in this list? That's not a native port, it's done with the filthy eON wrapper.

Well apart from the vp guys improving eon there's also the matter of what can be considered a native port. Sure they used eon but even valve used a direct3d to opengl layer in their ports (though they hardcoded it and did not have it run on rurtime...). The game's beta branch just got a nice performance boost. I'm happy with it being in the top list since it's one of the first tripleAs to jump on bot and definitely one of the best ones so far. edit: have you even noticed the performance on some of those "native" ports? I'd rather have eon than dying light, even more so on amd hardware. That doesn't mean I'm ok with performance or ports being inferior and just getting a release so as to point how worse gaming can be on a platform...

its because its officialy supported on linux.. and i never had performance problems with the eon wrapper. i dont really care what tech is used if it performs well and is officially supported

fulop laszlo Robert not my type of game... but i admit that i played it a bit with friend and it wasnt that bad... still its just not my thing.. i know many people love it and im fine with it :D..didnt makeinto my list though

mynameiskranz yeah and i dont see any reason why they shouldnt run on crunchbang.. steam has its own runtime libraries so distro shouldnt matter much.

Xpander69 They're actually more powerful than you think, ofc not gonna be running Borderlands on full HD 60fps, but it can run skyrim low graphics around 50, and minecraft full HD around 60.

+Randall Stevenson yeah and beasides most developers are used to it so its a no wonder but linux also has much work to do before people finally give windows the finger like i did. but as long as there is games on PC ill use windows and lnux.
