+Xpander69 How is it when decreasing the scale to 100% ? Just wondering if it is a CPU or GPU bottleneck.

+snowdreike ha :D i was just scared that my trailer will hit something..so i took some wider approach :), runs amazing without recording.. never seen below 40 fps in big cities.. most of the time capped to 60.. all maxed except MLAA off and scale 200% ... played with my Logitech Driving Force GT, once the buttons were set it was really enjoyable, only thing is that FFB doesnt work :(

+Egee late reply about trafficlights.. i agree that they are stupidly programmed most of the time, but there are some good configurations also, for example here we have system in some places that when theres big straight road with traffic lights, you will drive exactly 50km/h or something and they allwasy be green, you go faster you will get caught up with reds, you go slower same thing - now ofc theres a problem, when a pedestrian wants to cross that road, he will hit the switch and gets a green light.. all cars get red then, but it will flow again after that with the green if the speed is 50km/h ... hard to explain in proper english but i hope you got what i meant.. there should be more those systems.. ofc there are other problems when 2 sets of traffic lights are short distance away, on rush hours it generates huge chaos :D

+Xpander69 Alot of it probably has to do with the current factories tooled to mass-produce trucks with big, long noses. For example, flat motors (boxer motors) are arguably more efficient than an inline motor but are more expensive to produce. We have a couple of roundabouts around where I live but they are rare. They are far more common in the North Eastern US. Another big problem is that roundabouts are so rare, many drivers don't know what to do when they see them (yes it's an awful excuse but, it's a sad fact). The city I live near (Portland, Oregon) is considered a "planned" city in that most of the city is laid out in a grid so when automobiles started appearing, the transition was pretty smooth. For other cities, traffic is a nightmare because of poorly planned traffic signals.

+Egee i dont think your first point is really valid :D you dont need larger engines today if you can squeeze out the HP more, i can bet that EU ones have more HP engines and they are nicely fit under the cabin, and about space i would also argue, i think the space is the same, only thing thats better with bigger nose is direct impact hit might not be so deadly. about roundabouts yeah, they take up space , we europeans seem to be in love with those, for example here in estonia, there are places where you have 3-4 of those in row in every crossing :D but the traffic flows pretty fast. about the cities.. i think its the problem mostly with those older cities that were built when there were no cars :) so they dont have space to make more roads and they have to just install more stoplights for that, ofc you can always go up with the roads but then it will kill someones view from the window :)

Trucks with big noses allow for larger engines (because otherwise the engine would be under the driver's seat) and more interior cabin space. Long-haul truckers often go on 1000+ mile trips from point A to point B. Roundabouts take up more room and are more expensive to place than stop signs. My question is why cities are so hell bent on placing stop lights everywhere. A badly timed stoplight and cripple a city and create some of the worst traffic.

+Egee.io haha thanks.. few things that are weird in America :D why do you have trucks with big noses? ..its so hard to maneuver with those :D.. and secondly..so many STOP signs instead of roundabouts ....roundabouts are faster imo :D

+Xpander69 Indeed. It is just a game. However, the challenge of driving in SF is only partly the narrow streets. The other part is the other cars. The traffic level depicted in these images is like driving the city at 4am on a Sunday morning. During daylight hours, there'd be four times as many cars.
