The game performance used to be miserable, but the recent fossilize addition in steam helped a lot. Nevertheless, in my own experience, performances tends to drop later in the game (mostly when the game turns into a huge firework fest). I got many crashes during the walkthrough, random crashes (both in fight, or in menu), some random crash when in-game video started playing and some parts on some maps also resulted in nearly certain crash (there was 2-3 parts where I was unable to go from one savepoint to the next without crashing! I've only been able to get further since I'm playing in Lan multiplayer and the game was hosted on windows). Overall, this fourst Borderlands game is awesome, I recommend it; But based on my own experience I'd give it a bronze or silver compatibility rating.

Haven't crashed yet, but i haven't played much. Imo its the worst Borderlands game made. Combat is so dull, guns dont have satisfying feedback, not enough click, not enough sound to make it more on point its just splashfest. mouse movement seems odd, even with mouse smoothing off. it has like some sort of acceleration on or is just designed for controllers. enabling TAA will make the input lag more and weird ghosting/blur will occur. disabling it fixes that mostly though. Not enjoyable game at all imo. lucky its free weekend, so i now know i dont buy this.
