i have no idea (doesnt show ingame)..but it feels way over 30 fps so its not really a problem

ok i found user.cfg where i can increase FoV and make it show fps. seems to run at 45-70 fps indoors and 35-50 outdoors ..all maxed from the graphics settings (well that only one quality slider that we have)

I notice you are using Arch Linux + MATE + dual monitors much like me. Did you also have a problem with the game launching on the secondary monitor? Actually, more to the point, the game launches on whichever monitor DOESN'T have the MATE panels lol... Thanks.

nope no such issue...launches on the primary monitor for me. the one thats set for primary from nvidia-settings (for the hardware its secondary monitor)

Strange... mine is set as primary in nvidia-settings and it's even primary in xrandr and in terms of plug order. Only difference I can see is that you are running the nvidia-beta drivers maybe, whereas I am running 325.15. Maybe I'll try that, have my doubts though. Thanks anyway though and love your work!

do you have both monitors with same size? maybe thats some factor there? Cause i have one 1920x1080 (which is secondary by plug and primary by nvidia settings and is on the left side on my table) and other is old 1280x1024 (primary by plug and secondary by nvidia settings and is on the right side on my table)

Nah my primary is 1920x1080, and my secondary is an old Benq, 21" and 1680x1050 res. So you can see the annoyance, the game chooses my secondary monitor, that is also smaller. Lol. Games like Rochard do the same thing though and don't respect the primary monitor settings (or something). I'm almost tempted to go back to separate X screens, instead of TwinView.

thats strange..i dont have those issues with rochard also. if i set the game resolution to 1280x1024 or anything at 4:3 then it goes to my secondary monitor.. btw you can try tweaking user.cfg found in the metro LL folder and your ID folder...thats the right one to tweak.. copy some of the resolution paramaters from the metro LL dir user.cfg to thatone and see if it works

Thanks for your thoughts. Unfortunately I tried that and everything else, even different environments. Each did the exact same thing... except E17. Dunno what that does differently, but every single app and game respected the primary monitor in E17 and worked flawlessly. As I really like MATE and the way I have it set up I think I'll either use separate X screens or just temporarily turn off the second monitor in nvidia-settings when i play it (which i've been doing, works okay) Cheers.

Well I couldn't tell you much about how different it looks in Windows vs Linux, since it won't play in Windows on my hardware. But still a good game, and gorgeous on Linux. But don't worry about it being the only graphically intensive game in Linux. Unreal Engine 4 is coming to Linux, so I'm sure we'll see more games like it in the future.

Its the only graphically intensive game on linux, its also graphically limited as compared to it running on windows.

i actualy played with original russian voices..i turned to english for the video.. because i was thinking its better to understand for english speakers....but yeah..russian ones are so much better..
