+airspeedmph I dont know about +Xpander69 but if FL Studio even somewhat supported a Wine wrapped port (I know shoot me), then it would be hands down the best option.

+airspeedmph yes.. still lacking some good VST plugins and learning curve will be too big.. Renoise is the most promising one in that area..but my brain cant deal with vertical playlist/pattern editor
