People who like PlayOnLinux(no guarantees it will work):

extract those files into ~/.PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-amd64/1.7.19-Wolf
(so they stay like lib, lib32, bin and share into this folder)

then you install the game with normal means, by selecting install non-listed application and make sure you choose 64bit wine from there. 

seems to run fairly well... some framedrops in huge action (more with recording at the same time) ... all at highest from the game options, Vsync off. 
Game has OpenGL rendering

This engine dont be problem with linux (good for show patch), maybe linux native port is possible WGL things affects other games as darksouls II (extreme flickering) and another, only wait for next wine version if you can try reduce shadows effects (this include smooth shadows - occlusion effects) and particles (this maybe helpfull for your cpu, give more fps), maybe game runs better and if possible show graphics options

Xpander69 if posible try up another video with __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS as you suggest or try with graphics options suggest (this include smooth shadows - occlusion effects) and particles) maybe fps performance up On my case i wait for next wine version if solve this situation and another related with WGL (Darksouls II and anothers)

i maxed all with preset... and it actualy runs a lot smoother than it came out with recording..but it has few drops here and there..probably cpu related.. i didnt try __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS yet... that probably improves a lot considering that AMD CPUs arent good for singlethreading

Mi ck unfortunately, it don't work for me. When Im trying to launch game from that prefix, it says that prefix IS 32 bit! But in a fact - it's 64 bit! Lol.

Евпакий Кондратьевич For PlayOnLinux download and extract the wine 1.7.19 source, then cd in to directory and check you have the right build dependencies. :-$ nano wickedpatchlol.patch copy the text from the patch in the description and paste it in to nano and save. :~$ patch -p1 < wickedpatchlol.patch :~$ mkdir ~/.PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-amd64/1.7.19-WolfTNO :~$ ./configure --enable-win64 --prefix=~/.PlayOnLinux/wine/linux-amd64/1.7.19-WolfTNO && make ~$ make install open PlayOnLinux, create a new 64bit virtual drive and you should have wine 1.7.19-WolfTNO as an option for 64bit.

64bit wine and 64bit prefix. patched with what is in video "about" information and winetricks xact_jun2010 for audio.. thats it

I get ./wine: relocation error: ./wine: symbol __glob_pthread_detach, version WINE_1.0 not defined in file libwine.so.1 with link time reference when I try to use precompiled wine :( -- Also to note, running Arch Linux x64

Still couldn't get it to work, still couldn't find XAudio2 engine when loading up even though the xaudio_jun2010 was installed via Winetricks :(

this game is playing really well in WINE. I'm a few hours in, and it gets choppy every now and then, but for the most part it's really smooth.

Hm I having problem running this game. I have got patched wine and I did xact thing but it says failed to crate Xaudio2 engine. I tried your patch in playonlinux and I also tried PlayOnLinux build as well but no success. Any ideas please?

for some people seems xact wont help.. try install directx9 d3dx10 and d3dx11 ..one of those should have xaudio stuff also..

Wolfenstein The New Order is 64-bit I believe. You will not be able to run this on a 32-bit system. There is no way to emulate 64-bit on a 32-bit machine, at least not without significant performance penalties.

I'm trying, but with no luck :| I've created a 64prefix, and i'm installing again the game on it. I can't switch to a 64bit only for a game, I can't recompile my gentoo linux again :P Do you know if will exit a 32bit of this game? :)

its mostly due capture software..that being said..there are few framerate drops in huge action without recording also.. but a lot more smoother than with the 29.9FPS recording output

Installed on a Ubuntu 64 bit, works but very very slowly :( Intel core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz GTS 250 1GB 4GB ram I know is not a great hardware, but is unusable :/

im get error xaudio2 engine on Clean wine 1.7.31, Mint 17. i already install xact2010 , xact, dx9 and add x3daudio_2.0 to libraries, but game still write about xaudio2 engine. maybe copy from syswow64 to game folder all dlls?

dbscript4dev do not wait. DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) -- google it. first microsoft link. Download, extract. Start setup with wine (remember default 64bit prefix) and you can go. I tested it 2 times with fresh wine in Fedora 20 and 21. No aditional actions needed.

I went as far as installing the game and all I get when running the game is (3) line of fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation. No error on XAudio2 btw, unless I haven't reached that part yet.

for new distros with fresh wine: Just google "DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)", Download from Microsoft site, run 2 times(first one to unpuck, second run to install) and u can run the game with no problems

I am running Linux Mint 17.1 64bit. I installed the game, but when I start it, Steam pops up, "Preforming first time setup installing direct x for Windows". After that it just doesn't do anything. I have xact_jun2010 installed so I don't know what's going on.
