yes... why not?... for example i have 11.1GB currently in use... some games are running, browser with ~70 tabs, steam, virtualbox vpn box and stuff like that :) also its better to compile stuff on ram :P

you dont need anything special. just recent enough wine and -dx9single flag when starting the game... like wine "/blalba/blabla/Gw2.exe" -dx9single. no winetricks or anything special is needed. CSMT patched wine can give you better performance but has memory leaks so its better to use __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=1 ...but that only works with nvidia cards

Make sure you set your CPU govnor to performance, this has made upwards of 25+ Frames. Most open world I snag 60+ actually have frames capped, LA I can gather between 30 to 60 FPS depending on where I am looking and WvW/zergs is of course 10 to 15, 20 if i'm lucky. Wine-1-7-4 CSMT CPU gov set to performance. Radeon 7870 FX-8350 clocked at 4ghz
