wine 1.3.30. ( http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19897 ) fallen earth mac/wine beta client. when recording sound, its shuttering. so i turned it off and replaced with dnb track of mine "haunted", also found in my channel.
Game runs really good when not recording. having huge framerate freezes while recording, since its recording to same hdd where the game running.

@itsaprettyboy depends what you like. if u enjoy deep crafting system then the game is probably for u. also the endgame is pvp mostly as i heard.. some pve content also but not that much. since its F2P i think its worth a shot to try at least.

@itsaprettyboy yes crafting is big part of this game..so if u dont like this, then probably this game is not for u.

@itsaprettyboy It doesnt have to be about crafting, it has a fairly good crafting system. It might be worth learning enough just to make bullets and stuff like that. But generally you can buy decent crafted from auction house, fairly cheaply.

@LinuxTheBestOs not perfectly but allmost perfectly. sound has sometimes problems (but that just might be me)... perfromance is really good if u have decent nvidia card at least. no crashes or other issues noted. graphical options all work good without texture glitches or similar

Hello Xpander, I was wondering if you have a how to on how to install this, im new to linux so this is a pain in the ass lol. I might be making a mistake but i cant seem to extract the .dmg. i have acetoneis02 i have dmg2img, i even have dmgautomounter scripts but i cant extract to a folder, what am i doing wrong, what am i missing?

@yallbugin cd to the location where u have the dmg file for example cd /home/yourname/Desktop/ , then type dmg2img thatfilename.dmg /home/yourname/Desktop then it should take some time and u should get img file which u can open up in acetoneiso and extract

@yallbugin or if acetoneiso is unable to extract it. then install hfplustools or something via synaptic package manager(if u using debian based distro) and then run command mount -t hfsplus -o loop thatuncompressefile.img /media/FE u might need to sudo mkdir /media/FE first also

@Xpander666 Ok i got it extracted and i seen a comment where somebody, not sure if it was you or not, installed the d3dx9 dll, was that downloaded or did u just u the ones in the libaray, nd if u downloaded them where did u place it for wine to detect it?

@Xpander666 still trying to get it to install, gettting errors like fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x33ede4,0x00000000), stub! fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_SetSoftwareVertexProcessing (0x170f88) : stub fixme:avifile:AVIFileExit (): stub! any ideas of what i did wrong?

@yallbugin what kind of videocard and drivers you have? with ATI card u wont have so much success.. and if u using nvidia then proprietary drivers are the only way to go. those integrated intel and other cards u can forget it instantly. u wont play much of games with those. specially under linux. try winetricks vcrun2008 and wintetricks ie7 also.dont remember if the launcher needed them or not

@yallbugin no it doesnt mean u cant play. but you will have lots more problems getting games to work than with nvidia. get urself latest catalyst drivers and test...but ati drivers arent in a good shape.

caused by stupid or M$ co-operated ATİ driver programmers. at the moment linux open souce driver programmers cant do much more about 3D. also ati drivers very bad on openGL (that is equal to directx on windows.) for e.g. fx5500 agp card (8x lane )geforce better than Ati radeon x1200 pci-e.card(12x lane) i tested mine in Quake 4 native linux files. and consider u will use that ati products on WİNE software+Games.... But still u have luck. a little.

havent played the game lately and dont have it installed atm, so cannot test. but run the game from terminal and see what are the error messages when u reach to that point.. and then submit bugreport in winehq page.
