I knew it!Proton version has a more stable fps than native.Proton shows how badlly are games ported for Linux.

@@Oczkins92 yeah, its just up to 3.7ghz boost, so it will be quite bad for OpenGL. But DXVK should still perform somewhat reasonably on that. Might be some other reasons why it doesnt perform with this then i guess.. maybe AMD drivers not up to scratch or something.

@@Oczkins92 i bet its more to do with your CPU. depends what you have. some older AMD FX based cpu i guess? that will be horrible for OpenGL as its singlethread performance is really bad. And probably same problem with dx9, cause of translation layer takes some more cpu than under windows i guess.

@@xpander69 Unfortunally for me Payaday 2 on linux is tottally unplayable.I have amd radeon hd 8790m and on windows i have stable 60fps.With linux version i have heavy drops.Dxvk not helping because i have problem with perfomance on dx9 games.Ony way is use Gallium nine but game is not correctly rendering.

yeah OpenGL gets CPU bottlenecked, when theres more crowd. Not threaded well enough. Its not exactly port issues, its just openGL needs loads more optimizations (extension usage) that isnt just worth the dev time i guess.
