i dont play this game, so i just spectated a game and played a bit with bots :)
so far seems to run fine and didnt notice any issues with it.

it is available already. But its a test version. only mac and linux players can play togheter in that version atm.

Xpander you are the first person on linux to say that it runs fine and there are no problems :P No but seriously the linux client is filled with bugs about shading, performance and crashing. I'm really happy that they only put it on dota 2 test!

i didnt notice any bugs. perf is good on everything maxed and had no crashes also. i only tested it for 1h max though. maybe thats why i didnt encounter any bugs

The amount of bugs, also depends on the hardware you use. In my notebook with Intel HD looks HORRIBLE unplayable, but on my desktop with a Nvidia with some bugs, but quite playable. (Both with Ubuntu 13.10)

what?? you have friends who are using windows?... ok ok..yeah its test version atm. and you can play with linux/macosx guys atm only. but once it leaves the test then all is set

Multiple Interface glitches, and last game my Sven did not have any Animation at all. He was a Statue ... Fuck this Dota 2 for Linux sucks bolls why would they even release it after a week of so many reported bugs.

The reason why you didn't see any bugs is probably because you like Linux more then Dota. And you never even played the game that much. Forget it no one ever will ruin his matches in the hope that this game maybe this game something will be different. You can't release a game after a week of public beta testing when you know there are so many bugs that were not fixed. I love Dota and I use Linux and Windows. I was so happy at the start. But now I just feel sad.

Except for being able to deny creeps and the punishment of losing all gold upon death, no "summoner" like spells, or masteries and different "characters" to chose from, able to chop trees down in the map is there really any other big differences between this and League of Legends?

thats the difference between the drivers on linux vs windows. AMD GPU drivers are just crap on linux
