Do you have any performance benchmarks with AMD/ATI cards? I heard that Nvidia is better for Linux, especially with WINE and Play On Linux.

Станислав Димитров So I take it the performance isn't anywhere near as good as Nvidia or on PC?

I can confirm you can play with AMD card. There are some problems but overall it is quite playable and smooth enough with a 2GB R9 270X.

I think the Linux native version of Borderlands 2 specifically states that it won't run with AMD cards on Linux.

Hi, I have a similar system like you (amd-fx 8350 @ 8*4,0 Ghz, Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3 Ram @ 1600 Mhz, Geforce GTX 760 OC 2GB GDDR5, Crucial MX100 128GB SSD, Linux Mint 17 Mate x64 with Compiz). But when I run newer games like CS:GO it has small lags a few times in a minute. Apart from that, everything runs fine... I'm using the Nvidia drivers 340.46 from the official drivers. Where can I get the version 343.22 which you use?

good question.. i think mint has PPAs for it..sry for no help. i havent used ubuntu and the like for a while. small lags can also be the problem of compiz (its vsync namely) ..have you tested without compiz running?
