no dosbox. but not native either (currently). running via proton (wine)/steam play. its a remaster so called to make it more compatible with todays PCs

Can you please share about the details of how did you make this work? Because they seemed to have canceled the linux port of the game or at least are not working on the game anymore but might do something official with Atari. I need to know i bought the game thinking they will make a Linux port but now that they have cancelled i cant play this game. I tired to run in steam proton but i cant get the game to work right. I would deeply appreciate a tutorial as to how you got this to work right.

@@xpander69 Thanks i was on there and turns out i was missing a few vulkan api things so now i can get the game to run perfectly without issues now. Sorry for the inconvenience i may have caused. It doesnt run all that well due to my igpu but hey at least better than nothing. THanks for the help though :)

@@MegaMoiz hmm whats your GPU and driver version? Also try maybe hitting alt+enter to make the game go windowed, sometimes some games can act weird on some desktop environments

I didnt do anything special, just installed it and hit play. Thats all. My specs are in video description as well as proton version used

Now Blood is no longer available on Steam for purchase, either way I have the GOG version and end up using BuildGDX to play it, it's very good. Now I wonder, did you try Blood 2 the Steam version on Proton?, because I have some issues here maybe you could help me a bit. In the protondb page https://www.protondb.com/app/299050 it says it's platinum, and a lot of people pointed out to use PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% to make it work with a full resolution 1920x1080, but despite I did just that and tryed a few different proton versions (Experimental, 4.11-13, 6.3-4, 5.13-6, 6.9-GE-2, 5.9-GE-8-ST) still doesn't work, when you select difficulty and hit enter it crashes like described if you dont use PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1, now I tryed putting PROTON_LOG=1 to see if the Launch Options are working and I got the file and it says Options: {'wined3d', 'forcelgadd'}, now I'm actually not sure if it is working or it doesn't did I need to install something else maybe? what do you think? Sorry to bother man! btw I'm using Arch Linux with kernel 5.12.9-zen1-1-zen, I'm using KDE Plasma 5.21.5, CPU Ryzen 7 3700X and GPU RTX 2060. With this and Proton I'm able to play games like Path of Exile, Subnautica, Last Epoch and more, don't know what I'm missing. PD: I know Blood 1 is better but... despite I played Blood 1 first then Blood 2, Blood 2 was the first game I owned a original box version, and it was actually the first game I was able to play until the end, so it's a matter of nostalgia eheh.
