Two years since tuxDB.com launched! Thanks all for the support!
In the first part of the video I show the reading and zooming features of a manga in fixed layout EPUB3 (renamed to .kepub.epub). It supports double tap to zoom, hold corners to browse quickly through pages and is faster overall. This EPUB file uses right-to-left reading. All metadata is stored inside the EPUB except the collection info. This epub was created from a folder of images and my script called images2epub: https://gist.github.com/daniel-j/613a506a0ec9c7037897c4b3afa8e41e
Then at 2:00 I open a CBZ file (with metadata added using Calibre) and it doesn't support quick page turning or double tap to zoom. Zooming and page turns are slower than a FXL EPUB3.
The device is a Kobo Aura One LE and has 7.8" eink screen with 300 dpi
