It can do quite well on High, but mentioned in the video the drops in some heavy bits you feel a lot more than on Medium. Overall Medium locked at 40Hz feels much better IMO.

May i ask how much total watt it draws for 40hz + low preset? I use steam deck primarily handheld (on the go) and i curious for how long it plays on battery

That will really heavily depend on the mission and what's going on. In a mission I just re-tested on Low at 40Hz it was 24-25w. Pretty standard stuff for bigger games really. So about 1.5 hours.

This is the first gameplay I've seen, glad it performs well but I'm so happy it looks and sounds like the Armoured Core I remember (having played the first three games on my Deck about six months ago)!

Ran it with a med-low graphics mix at 1080p, set to 60fps, but it tended to dip to low forties in heavy fights, and after about 40ish minutes of fighting in the training room and the first two missions, I was hovering around 80c

At this point I don't understand how Linux. Hasn't made you an official partner or ambassador of their brand... Great content .... Also I use an xbox elite controller Is there any way you could do a video or tell some of us how to Get the backpaddles on the elite controller to function as the back paddles on the steamdeck As having those extra buttons in the back in this game it's almost needed... For some reason, my steam deck never registers The backpaddles on my elite controller, thanks

Good video! Awesome, awesome game. Locked 40hz at Medium is the way to go for sure. Still looks great and plays plenty smooth. Kinda tough on the battery but honestly for this good of a game I'll take it lol.

Small text is a huge problem for the deck screen. I agree with Valve a ✅ should be for fully legible games. Text / HUD scaling needs to be beating into devs heads like how TB did with FoV sliders.
