Steam deck is doing amazing things for Linux gaming. At this rate I might even be comfortable switching to Linux full-time in the next year or two.

Yeah, I mean, I switched some years ago and I'm not planning going back to windows, but it because for me I can do and play evrything I play there (JRPGs, indies and Visual Novels), but maybe if you arre into online games, better is to wait a little more to see if they manage to fix the problem with the anticheat on games that uses it

This is good news, as it runs incredibly well on Steam Deck. Despite that, aiming with the joystick, trackpad, or even gyro for me is just not an option. I can't hit a dang thing without a mouse in this game. I got the Xreal glasses and carry a keyboard and mouse with me in my Deck accessories bag I carry my deck around in, so I can technically play this game well on deck with the xreals and mouse and keyboard on Deck. Talk about the ultimate accessories for the deck! Portable gaming FTW!

If they implemented *proper* gamepad controls, then it would definitely be a lot better. I've played plenty of competitive shooters and had a lot of fun with a gamepad, but only when it's done properly.

these devs listen but do not cater currently the medic is a jack of all trades and instead of nerfing the medic by taking away tools like C4 they are making more tools for other classes that should spread the player base through out the classes.

I don't really like FPS games on the steam deck, especially not PvP games like this, i feel like i'm only putting myself at a disadvantage and i'm by no means saying others shouldn't do this, but i'm super excited as i love this game and i do want to run steam OS on my desktop whenever thats possible, so i think its win for everyone and props to the developers.

I have not been able to get battlebit to work on my steam deck. Anticheat is not installing properly shows a black box during install then says it's not there when launching? Has anyone solved this issue?

I verified that I had EasyAntiCheat runtime Installed but I get the same result.when looking at the installed files I found a BattlebitEac.exe but I'm not sure how to launch it. I attempt to launch it through steam but nothing happens.

That’s one step in the right direction, awesome! Now the other BIG focus needs to be actual controller support. I returned the game because I couldn’t hit a damn thing playing it on steam deck! If I own a handheld gaming PC with embedded controllers, I should be able to play and enjoy it without lugging around a damn mouse and keyboard as that would make the portability of the device absolutely pointless imo lol

Bought this game because of this video and a sale they had (an already cheap game was to good to pass) My only gripe is the controls. I feel I spend half my time struggling to play as I am enjoying playing. I can't fly a helicopter but I can barely manage any other vehicle once I managed an "E" key on my Deck. I hate sniping over 100m so there is that. Can't "spot" enemies or make cover, or be a squad leader but I'm enjoying what I can. Pew pew
