To be fair the head of the studio is the creator of Laser Squad, the original X-COMs, and Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars. This game seems like the logical evolution of those games.

Whoever plays this game in the video has no clue about strategy games, only reason he won was that the boss got stuck ( bug? ). In any other finished X-Com game the squad would have been wiped with the movement and placement of those soldiers... Nice to see some gameplay though.

The person playing was me and I play a lot of strategy games. This was my first time on the new build, I was playing around and it's as simple as that. The description literally says "rough gameplay" for a reason ;) Not everyone needs to be a pro gamer either, there's absolutely nothing wrong with people not knowing the ins and outs of every game :)

You need to aim manually way more often in special with crabmen that have a shield. Their shields and carpaces have more armor than your technician and trooper can handle - and Auto aim almost always goes for the carpace. Wasting ammo is a bad idea as ammo is very limited - and by manual aiming you can save a lot of ammo. Using the sniper in the Arma may not be the best idea cause he is a source of damage to the queen you might need & he is great at disabling limbs (claws and guns at crabmen. without usable weapons they aint a threat ^^ ) - atm the trooper seems to be the best arma-driver.

Well aware, this wasn't a showcase of skill, it was a simple test on the first time of the new build.

Same goes for the queen: She has tons of armor, the tecnicians POW and the troopers assault rifle only do 3 damage per bullet, so limbs with armor 3+ wont take any damage.
