Cultic on the Steam Deck requires the full 25W to play smoothly. Even then I cap it to 40.

the movie issue, does GE-Proton fix that? it supposedly has codecs that arent shipped in regular proton.

CUTSCENE FIX - located in the game directory is a folder for the videos with 1080p and 720p Versions of the cutscenes. Just rename them (mostly just delete [...]_1080p or [...]_720p) and replace the original files in the folder (or rename the original files if you want to keep them). That's it! - Rename and Replace - works for me 100%.

Entirely possible but I generally stick with official Proton, as GE-Proton can come with its own issues, as I do my testing for the masses that generally stick to what's out of the box.

Aside from videos not playing, the game needs some optimization patches. The game itself looks and plays amazing, one of the best boomer shooters i've played!

Very disappointed to be getting 45fps on a game like this. Hopefully they can do some tweaking and get it to 60fps 100% of the time because unless there’s some weird wacky stuff they did in development, there’s no reason this should be hard to run.

I think the only thing i disagree with is the summary. While it does have classic doom style visuals, i think the gameplay is spot on doom 2016 with the platforming, vertical looking, and the dash move is straight oute eternals hookshot.

Something I didn't realize at first that's pretty important (and fun) - you can keep cutting enemies with the chainsword by continually hitting the button - this is pretty important for finishing off tougher enemies - most of the fodder will go down with a single swipe of the chainsword, but the larger/more armored enemies will need you to keep hitting it to continue sawing at them for a bit. It's useful for conserving ammo and doing more damage when you're fighting enemies like the aspiring champions - blast them a few times, then fly to them with the chainsword, cut them for a bit, then back off and repeat.

“-d3d12” in launch options. Turned the game from 40 with Low settings into a so far smooth 60 on ultra graphics and ambient occlusion. Really nice fix
