EAC from EOS doesn't use the runtime, that's for older EAC.

Seriously, me and my friends played this last year. We had a good time, but we had a saying "There is always at least 1" In reference to the fact that 99% of our play sessions with the game, at least 1 of us would have the game crash. Usually have 2 people though. Not to mention other tech issues we had, I didn't crash much but had an issue where the game would randomly run at like 5 fps upon starting up, and I would need to reboot it over and over again until it just decided oh im gonna work now.

I tried Div1 and couldn't even get uconnect to connect to the servers so refunded that instantly.

@lol1431-r1s To be honest, Michael is partly right. After all, most of those games aren't written with Linux in mind nor as a primary focus. Even SteamOS basically uses a translation layer to make games built for Windows to work. It's not that devs are 'too lazy', it's just that it is not a priority for them, and I honestly don't blame them.

Does EAC hook in to only PvP mode or does it bother the base game as well? I was just thinking, they could try doing something like Master Chief Collection did where they have a secondary launch option to play disabled. I wouldn't want to play any PvP from Steam Deck anyway.

Division One didn't really have a non multiplayer mode . In safe houses and such there were other players , And even if you started alone , certain missions tarted matchmaking to get another player.

Crazy machines 3 doesn't work for me either with proton next, even though it was listed as playable. Also some none steam games that used to run fine don't even start up anymore. I feel like the best is yet to come software wise, but I am already thinking if I even need my desktop PC anymore.

for me same pitfall. I run it under "lost"dows11 and it works. I have lostdows11 on an external M.2SSD, no problem at all, so to me Bills lostdows11 this time is a windows. Games for Linux should also be made by people domaining linux as well.

Try forcing compatibility with the latest version of proton, if a game does that sometimes that’ll help I use that with Jedi Fallen Order since I can’t boot into the old Origin launcher smh

@rottentacocheese Easy Anti Cheat isn't something you just download in desktop mode. There is the Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime, which is on Steam, but that doesn't change anything.

I think is because of the anti cheat. Funny thing is the first one works, I tried on my steam deck. I was using the epic version of the game. They gave both version free a while ago.
