Agent Heart: Deception is an adult visual novel experience where your choices matter and navigates the path for the protagonist, Steve Heart. Guide Steve along to safety on his mission and possibly get rewarded along the way.

The first installment of Agent Heart will introduce you to three of the main characters in the plot, and as the player your job is to lead Steve along with your choices to move the plot along. Some choices mean certain death, and others can change the outcomes of future events. Version 1.1 will be followed by two major updates before the game is available as a full release.

Backstory:

Agent Heart is the story of a capable dreamer who is conscripted into the life he had wished for. Steve's application to the CIA hadn't been accepted or rejected, but it did land him into a lottery with hundreds of others which would decide the fate of his future and his freedom.

Agent Heart: Deception is an episode from the life of Agent Steve Heart, three years following his forced service, and the plot of this adult visual novel game. His forced conscription put him in an experimental off-book arm of the Pentagon. Steve's body had been augmented with a billion dollars worth of experimental biotech implants, and that technology could be imprinted with knowledge and muscle memory skills for just about any skill or task imaginable. The goal for this experimental program was to create an asset who could more efficiently and effectively disrupt the ambitions of those who operate separately from nation states. Steve is now the property of Rook Industries, a US military contractor who isn't in their official records.

The team behind Agent Steve is his manager Andrea, his artificially intelligent combat suit XR-69 (or "Suit", as Steve calls her), and other off-the-books contractors. So, Steve has come to embrace his fate and eagerly takes on the missions handed down from Rook to break up the loneliness.

In this episode, Steve is tasked with a simple mission that goes sideways. A mystery device that an executive sent him to retrieve leads possible death with every decision he makes. On the bright side, Steve has died many times since being drafted into this job, so he tries to stay positive about it.

A mystery woman blindsides Steve, and she will force him to reflect on his life and his new employer. Steve is sent on a scavenger hunt that ends in even more unanswered questions and a promise of future conflicts.
