About the game

The Adventure Begins!

Welcome to "Terrafort," a procedurally generated universe of pixels, where every game writes its own story. By day, the world is yours to shape. Gather resources, trade wisely, and build your stronghold amidst the wilderness. Every decision, every action, shapes your journey in this pixelated realm. As dusk falls, danger awakens. Bandits emerge from the shadows, transforming the terrain into a battlefield. Your survival hinges on your strategy – build a fort, outwit your foes, and stand firm against the night's onslaught.

How to Play Terrafort

  • Starting Off

    • You will spawn in an endlessly generated world, ripe for exploration and strategy.
    • Familiarize yourself with your inventory HUD, displaying three critical meters: tan (hunger), red (health), and yellow (energy).
    • Note your starting currency: $0.00. This will be key for your survival and progress.
    • Keep an eye on the time and day. Time advances steadily, with each complete cycle increasing the day count.

  • Navigation and Interaction

    • Move around using the [MOVE] bindings. Utilize [SPRINT] to quicken your pace.
    • Gather resources by approaching them and using the [ATTACK] binding. Every entity in Terrafort is interactable, offering endless possibilities.

  • Managing Resources and Earnings

    • Use your [CURSOR] to manage inventory: drag and drop items to equip or sell them. Selling items earns you money, crucial for purchasing upgrades and defenses.
    • Accumulate enough funds to unlock a variety of items from the in-game shop.

  • Engaging with the Shop

    • Access the shop using [TOGGLE SHOP]. Here lies the key to your survival and fortification.
    • Select items with your [CURSOR]. Hover over the {i} icon for detailed item information. Purchase in quantities (1, 2, 4, 8, 16), based on your budget. Grayed out buttons indicate your funds are not sufficient for that action.

  • Building Your Fort

    • Invest in walls, floors, and lighting to construct a basic fort. This will be your sanctuary against the nightly dangers.
    • Acquire and strategically place turrets to bolster your defenses.

  • Survival and Strategy

    • Brace yourself for the nightly wave of bandits starting at 12:00am. Each night, they grow in strength and cunning.
    • Utilize your resources to repair, upgrade, and expand your fort. Manage your funds wisely – turrets need money to operate!

  • The Challenge Continues

    • The game is a test of endurance. See how many nights you can survive as the bandits become increasingly formidable.
    • Continuously enhance your defenses, expand your arsenal, and strategize to outsmart the enemy.
