Imagine the peace of the soil, the strategy of cultivation, and the satisfaction of the harvest... Back to the Farm is an Icon Driven, 2D isometric, turn-based strategy game that celebrates the real-world challenges and beauty of agriculture. There are no dragons or magic here; just the sound of the earth, the rhythm of the seasons, and the pride of the farm you build.

Back to the Farm (#BTTF) is a 2D isometric, turn-based farm strategy game. It's built from the kinds of strategy games we love to play ourselves. We stripped away what we didn't like from typical farm sims, and doubled down on deep strategy. As far as we know, it's the first of its kind: a true turn-based farm strategy game, not a simulator.

Forget what you know about farm games. While others offer cartoon simulators focused on tractor-driving and waiting for coins, Back to the Farm is a pure turn-based strategy experience. Think of it as chess, but mastered with deep soil science, dynamic seasons, and cutthroat economic warfare.

Forget mindless chores and popping coins. This is deep system strategy where every decision ripples across your empire:

Start small selling tomatoes at the local market

Scale up to global exports through the Export Bureau

Diversify across crops, livestock, sea farming, orchards, and greenhouses

Enter high-stakes ventures like racehorse breeding and pigeon racing

But we go further - this is agricultural empire-building:
💰 Buy/sell factory stocks - open stores | 🚜 Lease trucks & rail transport
🔥 Sabotage rivals or build alliances | 🧠 Hire and train specialist managers

"Modern farm sims miss the real strategy."

We're 2Bros Games, and we're building Back to the Farm - where:
🔬 Soil analysis matters more than steering wheels
📈 Market manipulation beats mindless harvesting
♟️ Every turn is a calculated move toward domination

This isn't farming. This is farming strategy.

Back to the Farm (#BTTF)  began in 2019 with a simple question: “Why isn’t there a true farm strategy game?” As lifelong strategy fans, we longed for something deeper than casual tap-for-coins farming Sims. That night (November 12, 2019), over coffee, the seed of an idea was planted — if no one had made it, we would.

For the next few years, we let that seed rest and gather strength. We researched, sketched, debated, and played every farming and strategy game we could find. By 2023, our hunch was confirmed: while farming sims leaned casual and strategy games favored military themes, no one had successfully merged authentic agriculture with deep, tactical decision-making.

That revelation became the fertile ground for our unique systems—from crop rotation and livestock management to cultivating orchards, mastering greenhouses, and pioneering sea farming—all operating within our signature turn-based monthly cycle.

Design Evolution:

In 2024, the project truly took root. We built our Game Design Document, assembled a passionate team of strategy veterans and farming enthusiasts, and began transforming theory into reality. By 2025, we had a living prototype — rough but alive, with planting, harvesting, and turn-based mechanics in place. Like the first sprouts in spring, it was proof that our dream could grow. Now, with strong foundations and a clear vision, we’re ready to cultivate Back to the Farm into a rich and rewarding experience for strategy lovers everywhere.

Ever felt tired of the repetitive grind in other farm games? The endless real-time clicking, the waiting, driving tractors on simulators; the feeling that you're just managing chores instead of crafting a strategy? We did too.

That's why Back to the Farm is built on a thoughtful turn-based system. This isn't just a minor change—it's a fundamental shift that transforms the entire experience. Instead of racing against the clock, you're challenged to think like a true agricultural entrepreneur. Each turn (representing a month) is a chance to carefully plan your next move: analyze market prices, rotate crops for optimal soil health, invest in new machinery, and outmaneuver your rivals. The pause in action isn't downtime; it's your command center.

This means the depth comes from your decisions, not your reflexes. It’s the satisfying complexity of chess applied to the authentic world of farming. No more mindless tapping. Just pure, rewarding strategy.

Your journey begins when you arrive in the countryside with your life savings, ready to build an agricultural empire from the ground up.

A Dynamic, Living World

15 Unique Regions & 42 Sectors: Our core map features fixed regions, but the heart of each playthrough is unique. Cities and railroads are randomly generated within the sectors each time you start a new game, with varying levels of development and size. This creates a fresh economic and strategic challenge for every new farm you build.

Start with Strategy: Before you can even break ground, your journey begins with a critical strategic choice. The map displays key initial information for each region—including the number of sectors, technology level, and population. However, deeper details—such as specific sector types (field, pasture, orchard), exact city counts, and railroad access—remain hidden until you commit.

Unlock the Map: With this essential intelligence, you must choose where to establish your first foothold. Only after purchasing a concession for the right to farm in a region are all details unlocked, and the real work begins: conducting soil analysis, evaluating orchard potential, and assessing pasture availability. Remember, your choice has long-term consequences; selecting a coastal region, for instance, later unlocks the opportunity for sea farming.

A Universe of Agricultural Possibilities
Diversify your empire across a staggering variety of ventures, each with deep mechanics:

Farming: Over 20 crops, from staple wheat and soybeans to valuable strawberries and tomatoes.

Livestock: Raise cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, bees, and even ostriches.

Orchards: Cultivate everything from apples and olives to citrus fruits and grapes.

Sea Farming: If your land borders the coast, unlock aquaculture for salmon, mussels, and shrimp.

Niche Breeding: Our passion project! Dive into the deep mechanics of breeding champion horses and pigeons for high-stakes competitions.

Build a Business Empire
Farming is just the beginning. True power lies in controlling the entire supply chain.
You can start small, selling tomatoes at a local market. Or think bigger: scale your empire, partner with factories, and export worldwide.

Master the Economy: Manage your finances, take out loans, invest in factory stocks, and trade on the international market through the Export Bureau.

Build Your Infrastructure: Purchase equipment, lease vehicles, and control railroad logistics to dominate transportation.

Expand Your Reach: Open city stores, build processing factories, and compete at fairs to become a household name.

Hire a Team: Recruit and train a team of specialists—agronomists, veterinarians, managers—to optimize your operations.

Designed for Depth & Comfort
You might be wondering: "With all this depth, will it be easy to play?"

Absolutely. Despite the incredible detail, we've designed Back to the Farm with an intuitive user interface and smooth playability at its heart. This is a game about strategic thinking, not fighting with complicated controls. We want you focused on your next big move, not on confusing menus.

We've even included little surprises for your comfort, like the ability to adjust the size of icons on the main screen to fit your personal preference!

This is just the beginning. The deepest farm strategy game ever created awaits.
