Runtalis is a turn-based tactical dungeon crawler that captures the spirit of a tabletop game night. Built on deep grid-based combat and shared problem-solving, every move is a puzzle and every choice carries weight.

Play solo with full party control or team up with up to 5 players. Plan your build, socket your runes, and push your luck. In the Trials, victory rewards mastery but failure has a price.

STRATEGY WITHOUT THE SPONGES

Tired of difficulty being defined by massive health bars? So are we. In Runtalis, challenge scales through complexity, not stat inflation.

• The Magic Key: Progress through maps by leveling up your Magic Key. Each new level introduces smarter enemy behaviors, elite spawns, and environmental hazards.

• Dynamic Enemy Affixes: At higher Key levels, enemies gain game-changing modifiers. Fight foes that explode on death, leave trails of rot, or pull your heroes across the map.

• Tactical Combat: Enemies don’t just hit harder; they get smarter. They will flank your backline, control space, and force you to rethink your positioning every single turn.

RUNES: COMMIT TO YOUR BUILD

Before a run begins, your party must socket Runes. These are powerful, build-defining artifacts that grant passive bonuses and playstyle modifiers.

• Risk vs. Reward: Runes are locked in for the duration of the Trial. Will you choose a glass-cannon build for speed, or a defensive set to survive the chaos?

• Rarity and Power: Collect Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary Runes. Higher Key levels are the only way to unlock the most powerful modifiers in the game.

• Permanent Consequences: At low levels, failure is a learning experience. At high Key levels, failing a run permanently destroys the Runes you used. 

• Safe Runs: Need to scout a new difficulty? Enter a Safe Run to practice new builds and learn enemy patterns without the risk of losing your rarest Legendary Runes.

DYNAMIC DUNGEON CRAWLING

While Runes define your strategy before the run, the dungeon forces you to adapt during it.

• Unique Hero Classes: Choose from distinct hero classes, each featuring a specialized set of unique skills and abilities. Your class defines your role and how you interact with the party's strategy.

• Unpredictable Trials: Every map features shifting layouts and randomized configurations. You can’t rely on memory; you must rely on your tactical instincts.

• 1 to 5 Player Co-op: Runtalis features flexible party scaling. Play solo with a full squad or command a single hero alongside four friends.

• Scavenge and Trade: Power isn't just found on fallen foes. Discover hidden treasures, unlock secrets, complete mid-run missions, or negotiate with mysterious traders to find the consumables and tools needed to survive.

• Environmental Tactics: Use the map to your advantage. Bottleneck enemies in narrow corridors, trigger floor traps, or hide behind cover to break line-of-sight.
