About the game

Mekazoo is a 2D platformer set in a vibrant and fully 3D world with fast-flowing gameplay, fluid control dynamics, and a cast of kinetically-diverse Mekanimals.

Mekazoo features a range of playable mekanimals, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, to guide players across a dynamic (and sometimes perilous) landscape.
Always encouraging continued motion, Mekazoo features a creatively fun and diverse platforming experience tasking the player to juggle the strengths and weaknesses of the Armadillo, Frog, Wallaby, Pelican and Panda to swing, boost, bounce, climb and fly through the dynamic, puzzle-filled environments.

With over 30 levels of gameplay and special unlockable challenge levels, Mekazoo delivers a highly replayable and top quality experience, despite its indie origins.
When compared to many indies in the market, Mekazoo offers a longer gameplay experience with more than 30 levels in the main adventure and high replay value in the form of special challenge levels unlockable after putting players to the test.

Inspired by the great platformers of the mid-90’s, Mekazoo’s original soundtrack is a jazzy tribute to the music of video game classics, and a perfect companion to the smooth gameplay.
Mid-90’s platformers featured some of the best soundtracks in gaming history. When developing the Mekazoo soundtrack, we used those classic sounds to inspire a new electronic, jazzy and industrial take to the genre that seamlessly complements the gameplay.

Mekazoo’s co-op mode challenges two players to work as one as they navigate through precisely timed character switches and mechanics.
We’re really excited about the co-op multiplayer potential of Mekazoo as we essentially are forcing two players to use one brain to accomplish the level’s challenges. Requiring our players to work together on when is the precise time to switch between the pair of Mekanimals will result in a lot of fun, a lot of laughs….and maybe some deaths!

Mekazoo is uniquely characterized by its polished graphics and lush environments which utilize a vibrant, neon-infused color scheme.
The best platformers feature some of the most artistically detailed environments, so our mission was to create something visually unique with Mekazoo that would stand up to the classics. Mekazoo features a beautiful, neon-infused aesthetic that makes the vibrant colors pop when pitted against the dark backgrounds found within the game.

Mekazoo is the first major professional project of the Good Mood Creators, a team of developers with a passion for artistic, fun platformers and stellar gaming soundtracks. They have known each other since 2009 and created the Good Mood Creators studio after graduating with high honors from Digipen in 2012.
