Urban fantasy meets one determined bureaucrat: you. The vampires and werewolves started a turf war, and you're the lucky city employee sent to mediate a resolution. Use sweet words, clever loopholes, or a good punch to make a point about zoning laws. When your city is threatened by supernatural citizens who aren't convinced they need to keep abiding by the law, only your decisions stand between them and a city in flames. Unless you wanted a city in flames? Because some factions are willing to cut a deal on the side, if that civil servant paycheck isn't stretching as far as you'd like.

Social Services of the Doomed is an interactive novel by Fade Manley. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination. Take your own approach to angry werewolves, office politics, and that troll who might bond with you over tunneling technology. Experience a full supernatural story as a city employee with selfless, selfish, or secretive goals, and then replay with different decisions for a new experience of the story.

• Make your way through the city as a demon, troll, wizard, or completely mundane human.
  
• Sneak, fight, negotiate, confuse, or just whip out some obscure county regulations; it's up to you if a harpy prophecy of doom is best thwarted by finding a loophole in the wording or throwing rocks at the flock.
  
• Become very special friends (or the sexiest frenemies) with different supernatural creatures, or keep it platonic. Play as male, female, or non-binary; gay,
  straight, bi, or asexual.
  
• Advance your career, sink your rival's career, or try to play nice with all your coworkers at once.
  
• Drink at a dive bar with werewolves, or politely turn down drinks from the vampires; every faction knows you can be useful to them. Will they be useful to you?
  
• Sell your soul to Hell, reveal their dastardly plans, or just make out with a cute demon.
  
• Find out just how far behind you can get on your paperwork before your boss, who might also be a constellation, calls you to the office to discuss your monthly metrics.
  
  Demons and trolls, vampires and werewolves, wizards and snake people... and you're standing in the middle with paperwork on city zoning laws. They'd better be afraid.
