Welcome to the Edo Period. In this danmaku RPG, you can learn how the legend of Queen Marisa was born. You are Kourin - a young half-youkai lad who steps into a village populated with humanoids. Your goal - fulfill the prophecy of the King of Sweden.

• Act I - Marisa Kirisame is born. You are ordered by her father to get some materials so that she can live a happy life.
• Act II - Marisa, now six, has a lifelong dream to become a magician. She leaves her father behind as she seeks to attain this goal.
• Act III - Marisa recruits Alice Margatroid, a puppeteer who escapes Shinki's protective hand to pursue her desires.
• Act IV - Marisa recruits Patchouli Knowledge, a librarian originally from the Scarlet Devil Mansion. When Alice and Patchy learn that Marisa is a princess of some sort, and as her 15th birthday approaches, you must pay a visit to the Palace of Eternity to prove that she is one.
• Act V - With Marisa a lovely princess at your hands, you must find two rings of luck so you can take her hand in marriage and elevate her to a queen.
• Act VI - Fulfill the prophecy of the King of Sweden. You must defeat the Scarlet Devil to establish the Federal Kingdom of Eastern Gensokyo.
