Story
What is QA Simulator?
QA Simulator is a life-simulation and training game where you take on the role of a manual QA tester in a modern tech company. From your first day on the job, you’ll dive into the real tools and workflows used in software testing — from checking UI bugs and broken links to documenting issues and updating your test board.
This isn’t a fantasy adventure. It’s a real-world challenge — and it’s more fun than you think.
About Game
Why We’re Making This Game
We’re QA engineers and developers who’ve spent years in the industry, and we noticed one thing: there are no games about what we actually do. QA is one of the most misunderstood and underappreciated parts of the tech world. We want to change that — by building a fun, immersive, and educational game that reflects the daily life of a software tester.
QA Simulator is both a tribute to our profession and a way to introduce others to what goes on behind the screen.
How to play
What Can You Do in the Game?
QA Simulator is a game that plunges you into the role of a Software Quality Assurance Tester, offering a fascinating experience of interacting with the development team members responsible for building websites and mobile applications. You will have the option to choose your player character and decide who you want to play as throughout the game.
You will be in contact with a variety of characters: the Manager, Programmers, other QA Testers, System Administrators, and more.
As you progress, you will learn how modern companies operate using methodologies like Agile, Sprints, Kanban boards, and other contemporary work methods.
The primary tool for interacting with your colleagues will be email.
And, most importantly, the core of the game is, of course, testing websites and mobile applications. As your level grows, you will unlock different testing methods and various testing elements: text, images, and interactive components.
A key activity for any QA tester—writing and submitting Test Reports—will also be a central focus. You will learn how to communicate your findings clearly and professionally.
With the growth of your experience, the work will become more challenging and extensive—make sure to manage your time wisely to complete everything on schedule.

Funding Goals: Focused on Completion and Quality
As QA Simulator approaches its final stage of development, our primary goal for this campaign is to secure the necessary funds to ensure a high-quality, polished launch and a successful post-release period.
We have consciously decided against traditional stretch goals that could potentially extend the development timeline. Instead, all additional funding will be directed towards areas that enhance the game's immediate quality and support the team.
We aim to complete development on the QA Simulator project by the end of January 2026.
Looking Ahead (Future Scope)
We plan to expand the testing experience in future updates and content releases to include more advanced and specialized methods such as API Testing, Load Testing (Performance Testing), and other types of testing.
