Story
The Story Behind SquadLink
Every gamer knows the feeling.
You queue into a match hoping for a good session, maybe even a win, and instead you are dropped in with random teammates who do not communicate, do not try, or do not even want to be there. One leaves early. Another is toxic. The rest are silent.
The game might be great. The experience is not.
For years, gamers have been told this is just part of online play. Use random matchmaking. Dig through Discord servers. Post in forums. Add strangers and hope they stick around.
But none of these were actually built for what gamers want.
Real teammates.
Reliable squads.
People who play the same way you do.
That frustration is what led to SquadLink.
The Problem We Are Solving
Modern multiplayer games depend on teamwork, but the systems around them do not.
Random matchmaking prioritizes speed over compatibility.
Large chat platforms are noisy and impersonal.
Finding a consistent squad often feels harder than the game itself.
Gamers are left jumping between platforms, wasting time, and settling for bad experiences.
We believe this is not a gamer problem.
It is a platform problem.
The SquadLink Solution
SquadLink is a social matchmaking platform built specifically for gamers.
Instead of random teammates, SquadLink helps you find people based on:
• Games you actually play
• Skill level and rank
• Playstyle and goals
• Availability and region
It is not about swiping or quick matches.
It is about building squads that actually work.
With SquadLink, you can:
• Create a gamer profile that represents how you play
• Find squads looking for players like you
• Join teams that match your style and commitment
• Build long-term connections, not one-off games
This is about better games through better teams.
Why Kickstarter, and Why Now
SquadLink is being built with the community, not behind closed doors.
Kickstarter allows us to:
• Fund the initial MVP development
• Launch a private beta with real gamers
• Prioritize features based on community feedback
• Build something people actually want to use
Backing this project does not just support an app.
It helps shape the platform from day one.
Founders, Squad Leaders, and early supporters will have a permanent place in SquadLink’s history.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Your backing will directly fund:
• Core app development
• UI and user experience design
• Beta testing and feedback systems
• Infrastructure for launch
We are starting focused and realistic. A strong foundation comes before expansion.
Built for Gamers, With Gamers
SquadLink is not trying to be everything.
It is trying to be one thing done right:
A place where gamers can find real teammates and play better together.
If you have ever left a match frustrated because of your team, this project is for you.
If you believe gaming is better with the right people, this project is for you.
Thank you for being part of the beginning.
