Story
Hi, my name is Sabry, a young video game creator!
My goal is to create video games for mobile, but also for console and PC.
I currently have three projects.
The first project was written when I was 15: it has a complete story and characters entirely imagined and written by me. I plan to make it a AAA console game using Unreal Engine.
The second project is a mobile game currently raising funds. Its character management style will be similar to a AAA mobile game.
Finally, there's my third project: Space Farmer. Born to demonstrate my ambition in video game creation and my ability to successfully complete a project, Space Farmer deserves its place among idle tycoon games.
Space Farmer was born one night when I couldn’t sleep. I decided to start working on it while I was already developing my second project. Why? Because I am just starting out in the video game industry, and I want to prove my ability to successfully develop and commercialize a video game. So, with a small budget, I created Space Farmer.
At first, I decided to make an idle tycoon-style game, thinking the gameplay loop would be easier to implement.
That goal has now been achieved: the game has a complete farming and restaurant gameplay loop, a leaderboard for the best players, and cosmetic items that can be placed in your game, as you can see in the presentation video.
Since September we have begun by establishing our 4 milestones for the creation of the Space Farmer game:
Milestone 1 - Core Setup & Farming Basics (Week 1-2)
• Unity project setup.
• Basic farming system (plant, grow, harvest).
• Placeholder UI for early testing.
Milestone 2 - Restaurant & Playable Prototype (Week 3-4)
• Restaurant serving loop with client system.
• In-game credits earned per order.
• Save/load system.
• First playable build delivered.
Milestone 3 - Progression & Automation (Week 5-8)
• Upgradable farm & restaurant buildings.
• Worker/automation system for farming & serving.
• Idle/offline income system.
• Expanded content with 3-4 ingredients and 3 alien types.
Milestone 4 - Final Polish & Monetization (Week 9-12)
• Rewarded ads and interstitial ads integration.
• Microtransaction store setup.
• Balancing and economy adjustments.
• Cartoon-style assets, audio integration, polish, bug fixes.
• Final APK (and iOS build if agreed).
However, I don’t think this is enough. I will soon publish this version on the stores to gather feedback, which is why I am setting up a Kickstarter to finalize the gameplay.
Here is what I plan to add:
Implement an AI enemy on the same map as the player, with the goal of defeating it by buying its land.
Allow each worker character in the game to be transformed into an upgraded version by changing their skin and behavior, in order to develop the planet more and more.
Expand the AI enemy system across multiple planets to grow wealth throughout the galaxy. The goal will still be to become the richest, but not only on your own planet.
Introduce PvP on planets, where players can compete economically: the richest player wins.
Create unique character design assets, as the game currently uses only free assets.
Develop a unique soundtrack, as the game currently uses free music.
I think I'll need an additional $3,000 for the development of the points mentioned, as well as $1,000 for the creation of unique assets and characters for Space Farmer.
The remainder will be used for creating additional assets, for adjustments during corrections.
For me, the final creation of Space Farmer is important to prove my worth as a beginner in the world of video games. Based on an idea I had one evening, it will eventually become a fun game.
The game is available in early access! with a full official launch planned for January 15th, currently only in English.
