STORY

The village of Hungwood is under attack!  But where are all the heroes?  An evil knight has imprisoned them all, allowing enemies to wreak havoc!

It's up to the merchant/leaf-caster Rodin to form a party formidable enough to rescue the heroes and save Hungwood!

But it's not all work and no play!  Many enemies would rather have fun than fight, and taking a more friendly approach can turn enemies to your side without having to kill them!

Druid of Hungwood is a great new addition to your library of RPGs with lustable enemies.  It's a full-fledged RPG in its own right that seeks to emulate some of the great games of the genre.

The demo gives players an entire level to clear!  You'll be able to see the kinds of miniscenes you get with the 'lustable' enemies, and the CG scenes you get with your love interest(s) and ending bosses.  

Meet the characters, get an introduction to the visual novel story, fight your way through an entire RPG level, and face your first ending boss!  You'll see how we handle lustable enemies with a party of 5 characters.

Playing the demo is a must!

The lustable enemies for Level 1 include a goblin, a fire elemental, a bandit, and more we'll let you discover for yourself.  There are CG scenes with an Orc Shaman ending boss, and Gildrath the Dragon Guardian from your party.

Characters

Rodin

Rodin was taken in by a druid order after his parents' death left him wandering in the woods.  He is destined to become a great druid!

While he managed to learn a bit of leaf-casting, he choose to become a traveling merchant instead of a druid.  He was never interested in becoming a hero or adventurer.

With the current trouble, it looks like Rodin can no longer outrun his fate!  

Each member of your party is a potential love interest!

Dorik

The dwarf Dorik is not only Hungwood's blacksmith, but is a formidable runecaster.  His interest in unique herbs led him to forge a friendship with Rodin.  The two even partnered together in business.

Dorik has a fiery temper and a strong sense of justice.  The heroes of Hungwood allowed him to focus on his blacksmithing, but he has no trouble stepping up if needed. 

In battle he prefers to support others with buffs and debuffs using his magic runecasting hammer and anvil.

Murag

The orc Murag claims he left his orc village because he was unable to fit in.  He sought a home in Hungwood where he could start adventuring as a hero.  

Of course, once he arrives he finds that a new hero is sorely needed!

Murag is a jovial orc who finds it easier to live among other races that appreciate his kindness, loyalty, and sense of humor.  However...there seems to be more to his backstory than what he's said...

He's still a fierce warrior with his mighty battle axe.  He prefers to fight for worthy causes alongside true friends. 

Gildrath

Gildrath the Dragonoid has existed many eons and seen the rise and fall of civilizations. There is little that can spur him to emotion.  He has taken the role of Guardian of Hungwood and served the king well with his rune magic.

While stoic and somber, Gildrath still cares about Hungwood and it's inhabitants. He knows of the deep bonds a long battle campaign can forge.  He won't admit it--but he longs for that companionship.

Gildrath finds himself the last guardian standing after the heroes disappeared.  Dark things are afoot and he can't take on the menace alone!

Clint

Clint doesn't consider himself hero material.  The newly turned werewolf prefers the bedroom to the battlefield, and is happy to steal from the elites who trample on the poor. 

As a werewolf he has many skills to offer a burgeoning adventurer party, and he will stand up for what's right when needed.  ...But he's still trying to come to grips with this new feral side of him.  

Clint can be a formidable tank in his werewolf form, but he also provides ranged, multi-enemy attacks as a human!

Kickstarter made a great way for us to present our rewards to you, so please scroll to the top of the page and click the 'Reward' tab to see everything we have to offer.

You will get a Steam Code for the game.  We're not offering an option for Itch for a couple of reasons we don't want to bog down this section with.  Android users should wait to get the game after we launch. 

You can redeem your Steam Code even if you're in a country that blocks our games. That's why Kickstarter is a great way to get our games for people in Germany, Russia, and China!

All custom rewards are subject to our approval and must not detract from the game. They must also be legal and not violate the rules our vendors have stipulated about certain kinds of content.  If in doubt, ask ahead of time.  

That said:  We love repeat backers, we respect how dear every dollar is, and we will bend over backwards to make you happy.  We rarely have to say no to someone.  If we can't do exactly what you want, we will do our best to compromise.

Custom rewards are first-come/first-served.  Meaning if you want a certain NPC, a certain land for a side-quest, or a certain partner for your lustable enemy, etc., you need to be the first in line and have the lower backer number.  We'll accommodate everyone as best we can!

You must turn in your surveys on time to get your name in the game credits.  Once you submit your survey, you CAN'T change your name later to something else.  

We won't delay the game due to late surveys, lost backers, lack of communication, or last minute changes.  

We only refund backers when we have done something gravely wrong.  Like if we fail to ever deliver this Kickstarter.  If you made a mistake you won't be eligible for a refund.  Kickstarter and Stripe will have already taken their cuts on the amount. We'll only eat that cost if we're at fault in a grave manner (not just typos on this page or other small things within reason).  

I addition to the above rule, we cannot refund backers who chose 'Pledge over Time' until they've submitted all their payments.  So if you have a circumstance where we have made a mistake, and you chose Pledge over Time, you have to have paid for it in full for us to be able to refund you. 

Kickstarter will have only paid us the payments you made so far, but does not support partial refunds for 'Pledge Over Time.'  Hence, we can only refund you the full amount, even if we didn't get the full amount.  (Not to mention we lose the Kickstarter and Stripe fees).  Keep in mind, we have a perfect record so far of delivering what we promised for all of our 12 previous successful Kickstarters.

To get a reward you must back a specific tier on the right.  If you just pledge money without selecting a reward, we have to assume you didn't want a reward.  If you want a reward...back the tier that matches the reward you want.

Our amazing team spans four continents!

Dopq - Famed Asian bara artist Dopq is creating all the key art for the game while also being the co-creator, concept designer, and project manager.  This is all his idea!

Nautilus - Brazilian programmer Nautilus built an RPG system from scratch in Ren'py. He is the technical lead and programmer for the game.

Anna Hideyuki - Our Brazilian graphic designer created the logo, UIs, menus, and hundreds of icons for the game.  (She's also our social media manager).

Tsunami - Germany-based Tsunami worked with Nautilus to figure out all the details needed for a functional RPG.  Items, stats, levels, loot, weapons, gear--so many things to figure out!

Studio Kosen - Not only did the Spain-based Studio Kosen make our game trailer, they are also making all the many animations for the game.

Dany&Dany - This Italian Studio creates all the original background art for the game.

Michal Ratkowski - The Polish composer of the Original Druid of Hungwood Soundtrack.

Yamila Abraham - The USA based boss at Y Press Games ensures everyone stays on task and on schedule.  She handles publishing, marketing, sound design, accounting, project management, and also assists with numerous creative aspects.
