Story
A Survival Game Inspired by Ancestral African
Become an ODE, a warrior-hunter from one of the three kingdoms. Survive in a harsh world, gather resources, grow your strength and influence, and showcase your kingdom’s power. Every choice shapes your destiny and that of your people.
Alkebulan Survival is a extraction multiplayer survival game set in a reimagined ancient Africa. Players explore a vast, living world shaped by traditional African cultures, plants, architecture, and legends. Every biome tells a story. Every creature has its place in the balance of nature. Every choice matters.
In Alkebulan Survival, you step into a vast, fictional world shaped by ancestral African cultures, where kingdoms rise behind colossal stone gates and the land beyond teems with danger, mystery, and opportunity. Your journey begins with a simple choice: which kingdom will you represent? That decision becomes your identity, your allegiance, and your lifeline.
Each kingdom
breathes on a strict rhythm. Its gates open five times per day—four at dawn, and one final opening just before sunset. You’re free to walk out whenever you please, but returning is another story. Once the gates close, the world outside becomes unforgiving. A single mistake in the savanna, the deep forest, or the shadowed mountains means death… and the total loss of your loot. Every expedition becomes a strategic gamble: push further for richer resources, or turn back before the gates seal you out?
The gameplay loop blends tactical survival with cooperative action. Players form tight squads of three, each group venturing into biomes handcrafted with dynamic hazards, roaming wildlife, and competing players from rival kingdoms. You set traps, gather rare materials, hunt or evade predators, and clash with other teams seeking the same precious resources. The deeper you go, the greater the reward—but also the greater the threat.
Nightfall marks the ultimate test. The world grows harsher, but the loot tables shift in your favor. Night-only resources, enhanced drop rates, and rare crafting materials tempt the bold to stay outside after sunset. Survive the entire night and return at dawn, and you bring back riches your kingdom will envy. But failure means losing everything.
Inside the safety of the walls, the entire economy comes alive. A hybrid system of currency and barter fuels the kingdom’s marketplace. You can:
• trade your gathered goods,
• commission weapons and armor from specialized NPC craftsmen,
• upgrade your gear with biome-specific materials,
• buy food, potions, or survival tools,
• and gradually construct a build that reflects your kingdom’s strengths.
Progression is deeply tied to your mastery of the loop: smarter routes, better coordination with your squad, improved gear, and a keen sense of risk versus reward. The stronger you grow, the more your presence shifts the balance of power between kingdoms. Every successful expedition doesn’t just benefit you—it raises the prestige of the people you represent.
Alkebulan Survival is designed around one promise: every step outside the walls tells a story, and every return through the gates feels like a triumph.
The game combines survival, exploration, crafting, strategic combat, and resource management. Build your team, hunt, farm, discover villages inspired by real and fictional African history, unlock ancient knowledge, and face an environment that is both beautiful and dangerous.
Alkebulan Survival features a multiplayer system that allows players to form groups, build shared camps, and face challenges together. The server structure is designed to handle large populations with optimized instances to ensure smooth gameplay.
Our goal is to create an authentic, immersive experience that respects the cultural diversity of the continent. The game draws inspiration from Zulu, Mandinka, Nilotic and many other traditions, while remaining accessible to all players—whether they love African culture or simply enjoy deep survival games.
This Kickstarter campaign will help us complete development, enhance multiplayer features, expand biomes, add new creatures, polish animations, and produce a soundtrack inspired by traditional African instruments.
Join the journey. Help us bring to life a vibrant world rooted in history and built for the future.
