Risk 1: Traction This project in general is relying on success here. This is a passion project with no funds and minimal help, if this Kickstarter succeeds there will be nowhere to go but up. Aside from the major risk that is listed above there should be no issues aside from time, planning, and actually setting this project into motion.

Story

+INTRODUCTION+

Welcome to project Byanbaneki. This project is cozy adventure-based MMORPG that will be hosted on the Roblox Platform. From adventuring, to agriculture- there is an underlying goal to incorporate as much as we can into this game to suit and attract as many different demographics as possible.

With the mass of the Roblox platform, it is easy for anyone to tell that there are not many fun, interactive, or otherwise genuinely entertaining games. This is especially true for a majority of the experiences that reach the front page. Several things can lead to this happening, as creators feel safer creating things that sell. 

To summarize the point, the goal of Byanbaneki is to make something cozy and fun, while still being accessible to the many users of the Roblox platform. An interactive, personality-capable experience that doesn't make users run in circles to stomp on buttons, or sit and play the waiting game just to progress. Especially if there is nothing else to use as a source of entertainment. 

The small crew working under WHAM!agination are here to be honest with the potential patrons of this project when we say that we intend to make something that is great. Not only for the final product, for but all the steps taken on the way there.

We set this massive goal, in terms of ideas, funding, and quality. This is to ensure that players can gain the most out of the experience. Be it the final release- or all the steps taken to get there.

+BREAKING DOWN COSTS+

Allow us to address the Elephant in the room. 10,000$ USD is no small number. The goal is is substantial and thoroughly planned out. 

To breakdown the costs that were estimated, allow us to show the general idea of what the budget will be designated to.

2,300$-3,000$ USD

This is the planned budget for map-building, asset-making, and most things construction. Being poured into assets and structures that will make up the world visually at it's core.

3,000$+ USD

The estimated MINIMUM budget for scripting. Since there is a lot of features planned for this game, it realistically will not be much lower considering the wide dynamic of tasks required.

1,500$+ USD

The estimated MINIMUM for animations. Animations are a big part of this game as characters meshes movement are affected by build. There are also plans for animation-packs so players can give their characters personality.

1,000$+ USD

The estimated minimum for VFX, and EFX. Anywhere from auditory cues, expression noises, as well as audio associated with minigames, combat, tasks, and movement. This estimate is very loose, and may be subjected to increase a bit.

The relative breakdown leads us between 7,700$ USD and 8,500$ USD. The 10,000$ USD goal is the general cost breakdowns as well as a cushion in case there is a need to go higher.

Byanbaneki is meant to cater to different interests. That way, players can choose how they spend their time. This includes but is not limited to the following items listed below.

-> Creating Custom Weapons

-> Potential Roleplay Mode (Depending on Demand)

For players of all demographics, competitive or casual, there will be tournaments, competitions, and small contests hosted for limited prizes. 

This can range from Arena Competitions to see who is the best in the ring. Or for the more creative users- making something stunning and submitting it for the community votes to see just who has the most creative eye. Maybe, you are a farmer and would want to join a contest to see who can grow the largest crops.

Perhaps, you want to participate in minigames to see who is the most dedicated customer service representative in Pawdingtom's Restaurant.

All of these options and so much more to be contemplated by the developers, as well a you, the community. 

Feeling adventurous? Fear not, because that is a primary goal. Meshes are also planned to have their own dynamic functions. 

At least 7 meshes to choose from, all ranging in body shape, weight, and size. Solely for the purpose of  implementing a system where characters' stats are affected by your choices and movement feels personalized.

Magic Powers, Custom VFX and EFX, Customizable Weapons that can be built from the ground up. All for players to be able to create something that emulates them or their character's personality. 

Boss Battles that introduce cool characters with arcs, amazing beasts, lore, or just expand on the world as a whole. Aiming to capture the players imagination- and the story the developers intend to tell.

If you love lore, characters and general worldbuilding, fear not because with the fundraisers help we intend to bring a wide and growing cast of characters to life. Loveable NPCS with dynamic personalities, story arcs, and quest-granted items. Incentive to bond with NPCS and learn more as you explore your life in this new realm. 

From happy, to somber. Irritable to mysterious. All characters are intended to stand out and be unique in their own ways. 

This will be expanded upon with the potential implementation of a player-generated library. If you are someone who loves to write and want others to read your work- this will be for you.

 Contests are intended to be hosted to expand the library and lucky writers will win exclusive in-game prizes for their winnings. Their short stories or other literate media will be stored in books that are hidden around the map or assigned to quests.

Home Decor, and general decoration is intended for this experience as well. Making your home your own with furnishings produced by the community. 

Customization-oriented capabilities are fully intended to be utilized.

Not a cat person? Fret not! This project is intended to have the ability to allow characters to be a range of several different animals. 

These animals are referred to as 'Pseudo-Felindrians' and will be expanded on in time. This includes tails, ears, and limbs.

Some animal tails are also aimed to provide combat buffs!

For adventurers there is aimed to be a wide, open map for players to explore. From freezing mountains and wide open tundra, to the warm islands, or even the mild weather of the Kingdom of Mawrmelor. 

There is several secrets hidden around the map that will grant special prizes, unique quests, and introduce hidden NPCS. 

In-game lore also dictates that the world will continue to expand over time. This means there will be much more map to explore down the line. 

More foraging items, small critters, ranch animals and produce will come with these expansions to ensure players have more content to look forward to.

Our environment is aimed to be simple, cartoony, and appealing to the eye with charming models that are intended to help the aesthetics pop. 

This is to ensure the world is inviting, and reduce lag from other terrain tools.

+ General Release Schedule Plan +

To start off this segment, I will be forward and admit that the release schedule will be highly variable based on the help we get. Talking to some people who have worked on games before- I have managed to make a general outline for players.

If we reach our funding goals, and we manage to find reliable help right away, the general release outline is aimed to look like the outline below.

-> Sandbox Mode:
Sandbox Mode should be available in Early June / Late June (2026)

-> Alpha Testing:
Alpha Testing should be available in Late November / Mid December (2026)

-> Beta Testing
Beta Testing should be available in Early March / Late March (2027)

-> Full Release 
Full Release should be available in the final 4 months of 2027

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a rough estimate. These numbers are not final, and is from the viewpoint of other game developers that have worked on/ are working on big projects. 

The timeline is subject to change and I am more than willing to share updates here on Kickstarter and in the Discord when it is up and running with a permanent link. (Which will be shared here as well)

The timeline above is also highly subject to change because it was made with THE MOST POSSIBLE TIME considered. Meaning it's intended to be the maximum time feasible for each mode. 

It is HIGHLY LIKELY that this project will be completed faster than the given timeline and the release of Sandbox, Alpha and Beta are intended to be publicly playable upon their respective releases.

+ Explaining Rewards +

This will be started off with an explanation. That way communication on rewards is clear in writing. 

Due to this project being so big, all rewards are digital. There will be no physical rewards or merchandise until further notice, in which it will be discussed in the Discord when the developers are ready to do so. 

Byanbaneki's goals are huge, and the rewards are all STACKABLE. This being said, if you choose a support tier- you will get that tier's rewards AS WELL AS all the rewards before it in the lesser tiers. 

Allow me to also discern the difference between a couple items. 

-> 'Background NPC Design' : 
This prize allows a patron to get their own custom NPC put into the game as a background character. This means the character will be non-functional, and will exist as a simple character in a space. ((Please note that the character will not have quests, or voice lines))

-> 'Mid-Functioning NPC Design' :
This prize allows the patron to make an NPC that has a 1-3 Quest storyline in the game. This quest storyline can have prizes decided by the patron. ((Please note that the character will only have a few quests, and a few voice lines.))

-> 'High-Functioning NPC Design' : 
This prize is a high tier reward. This means that people of that patron amount will receive an NPC that will function like other primary NPCS. These NPC's will have a quest line, key items they give players, voice lines and more. ((This character will have everything and will function like the already established NPCS. ))

-> -> More Notes: 
Please be aware not all characters will be done at the same time. If you are Tier 10+ Donator your prizes will take longer to ensure they work properly. They also will not all be released at 1 time and will be dispersed between updates as more of the map is produced. The large tiers will take time. 

-> -> NPC Prizes are the ONLY non 'Previous Tier Prizes'
This means that if you get Tier 13 'High Functioning NPC' you will only get that 1 NPC option (until later date) all previous prizes associated with in game items, Titles, Pets, and Mounts will be adhered.

-> 'Custom' Items vs 'Tier' Items : 
These prizes are separated by word. 'Custom Items' like Titles, Mounts and Pets are items made by the donator that will be put into the game for said player. 'Tier Items' are items that are automatically associated with the tier made by the staff. This means it is pre-determined and will go to everyone of said tier.

-> Custom Boss Fight: 
This is one of the ultimate prizes. This means that you get to work with the developers to make your own boss fight. A monster or creature made by the donator that will be used in a dungeon-like set up. This comes with custom boss music, custom loot drops, Receiving the creature as a Mount, and much more. To compensate for this massive donation, we want the donator to have as much fun as possible. 

-> How will "Monthly Stipends" work?
For some, it seems not plausible to promise a monthly prize. However, this will be quite simple. Monthly stipends are going to be 'Badge Bound' in which the prize will automatically be given to those who hold the badge every month. This makes dispensing monthly prizes much simpler.

-> 'Automatic Obtainment of Competition Prizes'
This prize is limited to 10 People for the Tier 13 reward. This is a permanent fixture. This does NOT affect the placement of people who actually participate in the events for prizes that don't have this privilege. If anyone's willing to spend 10,000$ USD to help bring this game to life they deserve every good feature this game has to offer and will rewarded as so. 

((We love all our players, so it will not affect competitions and non-playing players will have equal chances to participate without the Tier 13 players interfering with others' ability to win))

To conclude, Byanbaneki is a passion project with big aspirations and expectations. This project cannot come true without any of the generous patrons. Every bit of support is appreciated from the bottom of our hearts and to those who do donate there will be as close to the best compensation for your patronage as possible. 

From Custom Prizes like Titles, Mounts, Weapons to NPCS, we strive to make your contributions to Byanbaneki worth your time. 

Larger prizes such as getting our own custom islands, being able to make your own boss + battle, and even more shall be considered when development can start making strides in the right direction.

Extra Segment for Clear Disclosure on Generative AI

Will AI Be used in this Project?

To make this answer simple, no. There will be no AI used in the creation of this game. All art and programming will only be done by human hands, by people who can be paid to bring this project to life. 

AI is not a tool that any of the people on the production team trust, and it takes away from people who actually want to put passion forth into the project. 

Cloud or Local AI Platforms or Tools will not be utilized in any way to make Byanbaneki become a reality.

What Tools Will be Utilized?

  • Roblox Studio (Programming, Map Building, Gameplay. Roblox's Official AI Tools in the Toolbox will NOT be used by the developers.)
  • Audio / Voice-Lines (Audio Recording Software and Real People's Voices)
  • Music and SFX (Applications such as the following: Actual Instruments and Audio, GarageBand, BandLab, or Soundtrap. Which are established, Non-AI apps.)
  • 3D Models (Blender will be the primary 3D modeling Program. AI toolboxes will not be used by 3D modelers.)
  • Art Programs (2D Concept Art) : Fire Alpaca (iChrystophylux's Primary Art Program) or any other art program that does not use generative AI. (Paint Tool Sai, Medibang, GIMP, Procreate, Krita and Ibispaint are all welcome art-applications)
