Our Story:
Echoes of Extinction started with a frustration we think every dinosaur survival fan knows: the genre is full of potential, but the game we all picture in our heads still doesn’t quite exist.
I’m Islander. I’ve spent years in this space making content, working alongside developers, and learning what keeps communities alive long after the hype fades. Somewhere along the way, dinosaur survival stopped being “a genre I enjoy” and became an obsession: build the game we’ve always wanted to play, with the kind of tension, immersion, and player stories that only this niche can deliver.
Echoes of Extinction began as four people and a stubborn belief that we could pull it off. Two years later, that belief has grown into a team of 20+ passionate developers; artists, designers, programmers and creators putting in every spare hour we can find. We’ve pushed through limited funding, hard hiring decisions, and more late nights than we can count, because the vision never stopped feeling worth it.
And we haven’t built this alone.
Our Patreon community has been playing and stress-testing the game, reporting bugs, giving brutally honest feedback, and helping us shape the experience into something stronger every week. The results have genuinely exceeded our expectations. Seeing players create their own moments, find the cracks, and still come back excited to play again has been the clearest sign we’re on the right path.
That momentum carried beyond our community too, Echoes of Extinction has now passed 40,000 wishlists on Steam, a milestone we never take for granted. It’s proof there are thousands of people out there who want this world to exist.
This Kickstarter is about taking what we’ve already proven, real gameplay, real progress, real players and giving it the resources it needs to grow faster and stronger. More development time, more polish, more content, and a smoother road to launch.
We’re not asking you to fund an idea. We’re inviting you to help build a living world, one you can be part of from the start, and one you’ll be able to immerse yourself in for years to come.
