Risks and Challenges
We don't have an audience yet, we're just two guys who are trying their hand at it and we're in love with video games.
We risk it not being published for major reasons, we are not programmers and we have no experience in the sector.
Story
Hello everyone I'm Matteo and my twin brother is called Michele, we are two video game enthusiasts since we were little our passion has led us to study the playful video world and the 3D one, our idea for this game started from the passion for space and science fiction not least from the passion for multiplayer, we intend to draw up a timeline with all the development details that we will share on discord over time, below is an explanation of the game:
A preliminary single player build and ready to be downloaded and tested to test the initial concept
:The game is basically a desperate escape through deep space. It’s 4-player online, and you find yourself piloting these gross, semi-organic alien ships that almost feel alive. You’ve got to get the hell out of a station or an alien planet before everything blows sky-high. It’s a frantic Space Rush Royale: pedal to the metal, shooting at anything that moves, and keeping your reflexes sharp to dodge obstacles flying at your face.
The best part? It’s not just co-op. To cross the finish line first and survive, you can literally blow your teammates up. It’s a dirty mix of helping each other so you don't all die, and then betraying them at the last second just to be the only one who makes it out. You’ll have to juggle enemy fire, avoid crashing, and at the same time, keep a constant eye on whatever the other three are pulling behind (or in front of) you.
Where We Are and Why We Need Your Help
The heart of the game is already beating. The multiplayer code, movement system, and procedural generation logic have already been prototyped and are fully functional.
How We Will Use the Budget (Goal: €5,000)
My estimate is transparent. I’ve decided to aim for quality (what I call "Scenario B") to offer you a unique product, not just a simple demo. Here is where every Euro raised will go:
- Art Direction & 3D Modeling (40%): I will hire freelance character artists to create 4 unique organic ships and enemies. They need to look alive, slimy, and technological all at once.
- VFX & Sound Design (20%): A space game lives through its sound. Explosions must thunder and lasers must sizzle. I will purchase licenses for professional sound effects and high-quality particle effects.
- Concept Art & Marketing (20%): To promote the game and create a strong visual identity (for the Steam page and social media) that attracts an active community to play with.
- Technical Costs & Fees (20%): Steam publishing fees, server costs for initial testing, and Kickstarter platform fees.
Risks and Challenges
Online multiplayer is difficult—we know that. But the good news is that the riskiest part (movement replication and network management) was the first thing I tackled and solved. Now, the challenge is purely aesthetic and content-driven.
With your support, you aren’t just "buying a game"; you are financing the creation of those Discord nights where you laugh, scream, and "hate" each other in a friendly way because someone snatched victory from you at the very last second.
Hop on board (but watch your back)!
