Story
An Atmospheric Anomaly-Spotting Game
The Forsaken Tomb is an infinitely replayable first-person anomaly-spotting game, set deep within an ancient, ever-shifting tomb.
Observe carefully.
Choose wisely.
Escape if you can.
An endlessly changing tomb tests your perception at every step. Spot what doesn’t belong, make the right choice, and push forward before the tomb reacts.
Can You Trust What You See?
You awaken deep inside an ancient tomb.
At first, everything seems normal. The rooms feel familiar. The path ahead looks safe.
Then something feels…wrong.
A statue isn’t where it should be.
A texture doesn’t quite match.
A detail you’re sure wasn’t there before now demands your attention.
Your survival depends on noticing these anomalies and deciding how to respond. Choose correctly and you may progress. Choose poorly, and the tomb tightens its grip.
Nothing will warn you.
Nothing will explain itself.
The tomb simply watches — and judges.
Two Ways to Face the Tomb
Normal Mode
Study each room closely and determine whether it is normal or altered.
Anomalies are rarely obvious — a shifted statue, a wrong texture, something that simply doesn’t belong. Spot the anomaly, act correctly, and move on. Fail — and the tomb reacts.
Escape Mode
Push deeper into the tomb to reach an ancient relic. Claim it… then find your way back out.
The path home will not be the one you remember.
No Two Runs Are Ever the Same
The Forsaken Tomb is built for infinite replayability.
Each run is procedurally generated from billions of possible room combinations, drawing from a wide range of anomaly types and variations. Anomaly placement and outcomes constantly shift.
Familiarity cannot be trusted. Memory will fail you. Experience alone is not enough.
Every descent into the tomb is a fresh test of perception and judgement.
Why Kickstarter?
The Forsaken Tomb is already well into development, and this campaign exists to help us bring the game to completion and launch it properly.
Funds raised through Kickstarter will be used primarily to:
- Complete development and polish the final game
- Optimise performance and stability
- Cover essential marketing and launch costs, helping the game reach a wider audience
This allows us to focus on delivering a finished, high-quality experience without compromising its atmosphere or design.
Stretch Goals & Platforms
Stretch goals will focus on bringing The Forsaken Tomb to additional platforms, rather than expanding the core scope of the game.
With enough support, this includes:
- Console ports such as Xbox (£4k reached) and Nintendo Switch (£5k)
- Platform-specific optimisation and certification
Any additional content unlocked will be carefully scoped and optional, ensuring development remains focused on delivering the core experience first.
By backing the campaign, you’re helping ensure The Forsaken Tomb doesn’t just exist — it reaches as many players as possible.
The tomb is open… but it won’t wait.
Back the campaign, help decide how deep it goes, and test whether you can truly trust what you see.
You can also play the demo for The Forsaken Tomb now via Steam - don't forget to wishlist and follow the game too!
We love to hear from our players and involve them in the development of our games by listening to and acting on your feedback. So why not join our Discord community too - simply follow the link in our demo.
