Risks and Challenges

As with any creative project, there are potential challenges related to production and logistics. The main risks for Eternal Dawn involve manufacturing timelines, shipping logistics, and ensuring the quality of printed materials and miniatures. To minimize these risks, we are working with experienced board-game manufacturers and fulfillment partners who specialize in environmentally sustainable production and global delivery. The core game and artwork are already in advanced stages of development, which significantly reduces creative risk. Regular production updates will be shared with backers, and every major milestone—such as proofing, print approval, and fulfillment—will be transparent. In the unlikely event of delays or production challenges, our priority will be to maintain clear communication and ensure that every supporter receives the high-quality experience promised by Eternal Dawn.

Story

Eternal Dawn — The Age of Reawakening

In the far reaches of time, history was never meant to be linear. It is a cycle — a tide that rises and falls, carrying the memories of forgotten empires and the whispers of gods long thought dead. From the ashes of silence, the world begins to tremble once more. The Eternal Dawn marks not a beginning, but a return — a convergence of myth and machine, faith and technology, destiny and rebellion.

The Shattered World

Millennia ago, a mysterious artifact known as the Dawnstone was buried beneath the ruins of the First Civilization. It was said to contain fragments of the divine frequency — a resonance that could awaken both gods and mortals alike. When the Dawnstone pulsed again, the world fractured. Reality bent. Empires once lost to the dust of time began to rise again, each reborn in a world that had forgotten their names.

From the northern steppes to the burning coasts, the earth split open and the skies bled with light. Ancient banners fluttered again, not as relics of the past, but as emblems of new power. Humanity stood on the edge of something divine — and terrifying.

The Four Empires of the Dawn

The Turkic Khaganate was the first to hear the call. Beneath endless horizons, the Wolf Banner rose once again. Forged in exile and fire, the Khaganate reclaimed the spirit of movement and endurance. They were not builders of walls, but breakers of chains — their strength drawn from unity, will, and the sacred pulse of the wind itself. For them, the sky was not a ceiling, but a promise.

Across the seas, the Phoenician League stirred from its watery tombs. Guided by stars and symbols older than language, their ships emerged from forgotten harbors, gliding on the edge between trade and war. Theirs was the mastery of flow — commerce turned to conquest, navigation turned to ritual. They believed the ocean itself could be reasoned with, and that destiny was a course to be charted.

In the heartlands of stone and iron, the Assyrian Empire awakened with fury. Their citadels, once buried beneath centuries of dust, rose again like mountains in motion. The Assyrians were defined by discipline — a cold, unwavering faith in structure, in command, in the will of Ashur that bound men and machines alike. Every soldier was a wall; every march, a prayer. Their wars were not waged in chaos, but in divine order.

And from the golden coastlines of the western world, the Carthaginian Empire ascended. Once broken by betrayal, they returned as the masters of intellect and economy. Their elephants marched not through the Alps, but through time itself — armored in gold, guided by wisdom and vengeance. Theirs was the empire of thought, trade, and control. They turned philosophy into strategy, and war into art.

When Gods Spoke Through Machines

But it was not only men who rose. The Dawnstone’s energy resonated through the dimensions between myth and matter. Forgotten deities — the Wolf Spirit, the Sea Flame, the Iron Father, and the Golden Mind — began to awaken within the digital hum of the new world. Temples reappeared, not carved in marble but in steel. The faithful prayed through circuitry, and their gods answered through thunder and code.

In this new epoch, technology became sacred, and belief became weaponized. The line between the divine and the mechanical disappeared, giving birth to the age of myth-tech — where gods rode within engines, and warriors carried relics that glowed with the breath of the old world.

The War for the Dawn

As civilizations reawakened, the balance of power shattered. Alliances formed, only to crumble under pride and fear. Ancient rivalries reignited — Phoenicia and Carthage clashing across the seas, Assyria and the Khaganate colliding under storms of steel and sand. Yet the true war was never for land or gold. It was for the meaning of the Dawn itself.

Was the Dawnstone a gift or a curse?
Was it meant to unite humanity, or test it one final time?

Every empire sought its own answer. Some through conquest, others through faith, and others still through the pursuit of knowledge that no mortal should wield.

The Eternal Question

At its core, Eternal Dawn is not a story of nations, but of rebirth. It asks what happens when humanity is given another chance — when the myths that shaped it return, and the gods demand relevance once more. Will mankind rise to create a world worthy of its legends, or fall again into the same cycles of pride and ruin?

The dawn does not come once.
It comes again, and again — eternal, blinding, and beautiful.
And every time it rises, someone must decide what kind of light it will bring.

ETERNAL DAWN — The Myth-Tech Strategy Universe

WHAT’S NEW

Eternal Dawn is not just another strategy game — it’s a living world where ancient civilizations rise again, armed with myth and machine.
From the vast steppes of the Turkic Khaganate to the forgotten coasts of Phoenicia, every culture remembers its gods, its iron, and its destiny.

You will lead one of nine legendary civilizations, mastering their armies, technologies, and divine powers to decide the fate of a reborn world.

THE WORLD AWAKENS

A thousand years after the fall of the old world, the earth trembles.
Storms roar above ruined citadels, deserts reveal the bones of iron titans, and ancient symbols ignite once more.

Each civilization hears the same call — “Remember who you were.”

And so begins The Age of Awakening.

HEROES

Every civilization has its champions:

Assyrian Ironlords forged in discipline and fire.

Phoenician Sea Riders who ride lightning across the waves.

Türkic Skywolves, masters of speed and unity.

Carthaginian Strategoi, calm and precise, ruling through logic.

Sumerian Architects, the oldest builders of divine machinery.

Each hero carries not only power — but heritage.
Their abilities evolve through battle, memory, and relics discovered during the campaign.

WONDERS & TECHNOLOGY

Eternal Dawn blends mythic energy with lost technology — “Myth-Tech.”
Forge energy relics, resurrect fallen deities, and rebuild forgotten wonders:
the Hanging Sky Fortresses, Iron Chariots, and Obsidian Thrones.
Your civilization’s progress unlocks unique bonuses and powerful synergies.

TACTICAL DEPTH

At its core, E.D is a hex-based tactical strategy that merges board-game precision with cinematic storytelling.
Each turn matters — units move, strike, and fortify using limited resources.
Timing, terrain, and morale are key.
Commanders must balance aggression with preservation; empire with survival.

THE SHARED WORLD

Eternal Dawn is built as a multi-faction, interconnected campaign.
Each civilization’s story unfolds independently — but their actions affect one another.
The campaign system allows multiple players or AI factions to rewrite the same timeline in different ways.
No two Dawns will ever rise the same way twice.

ASSYRIAN EMPIRE — Order Through Fire

Where once stood the empire of Ashur, crimson banners rise again.
The Assyrians believe in one truth: order must be restored — by flame, by iron, by will.

Their legions march under the winged sun, their war-machines thunder across the dunes,
and their rulers claim the right to shape destiny itself.

Gameplay focus: Siege warfare, morale control, and unbreakable formations.
Aura: Iron Discipline — “Every command is law.”

PHOENICIAN LEAGUE — Gold and the Sea

Beneath the violet waves, forgotten harbors whisper of empires that once traded with the stars.
The Phoenician captains have returned — their ships gleam with electric tridents, their sails shimmer with arc-light.

To them, the ocean is both memory and map.
They see currents not as water, but as living energy — the same that powers their myth-tech fleets.

Gameplay focus: Economic dominance, naval mobility, and energy manipulation.
Aura: Thalassic Will — “The sea remembers every name.”

TÜRKIC KHAGANATE — Sky and Bone

Across the vast steppes, the wind carries the song of the Skywolves once more.
The Türkic riders, guided by the celestial wheel and the wolf sigil, reclaim the horizon.

Their strength lies in unity — nomadic clans, now bonded by iron and code.
They do not conquer land; they become it.

Gameplay focus: High mobility, morale synergy, and spiritual endurance.
Aura: Bone Resolve — “The horizon belongs to those who move.”

CARTHAGINIAN EMPIRE — The Memory of Iron

On the burnt shores of Africa, the elephants march again.
Carthage has not forgotten its humiliation — only refined it into precision.

Their empire is a silent machine of logic and vengeance,
led by commanders who believe strategy is the highest art form.

They trade, they deceive, they strike — and the sea bends to their fleets once more.

Gameplay focus: Tactical control, economy through conquest, psychological warfare.
Aura: Silent Resolve — “Revenge is the final form of order.”

SUMERIAN FEDERATION — The First Architects

Before history, there were the Sumerians.
Now, they rise again — not as kings, but as engineers of creation.

They remember how to shape energy into form, thought into matter, and gods into machines.
Their temples hum with resonance; their soldiers are sculpted from living clay and divine code.

Gameplay focus: Construction, technology, and divine synthesis.
Aura: Prime Pattern — “All things built were first imagined.”

Eternal Dawn — Complete Gameplay Guideline

1. Overview

Eternal Dawn (E.D.) is a hex-based strategy and card-driven wargame set in a myth-tech alternate history where ancient civilizations reawaken with divine energy and futuristic warfare.
Each player commands one civilization — such as the Turkic Khaganate, Phoenician Sea League, Assyrian Empire, or Carthaginian Empire — and battles to control the world’s sacred energy source, the Dawnstone.
Victory requires not just power, but timing, faith, and tactical foresight.

2. Game Board (Hex Map)

The battlefield is made of hexagonal tiles.

Each hex represents a region, resource zone, temple, or city.

Terrain types affect gameplay:

🌾 Plains: Normal movement, +1 resource production.

⛰️ Mountains: –1 MOV for units but +1 DEF bonus.

🌊 Water / Sea: Only naval or amphibious units may cross.

🏛️ City / Colony: Allows card production and unit healing.

3. Card Types

⚔️ Unit Cards

Represent armies and combat formations.
Stats: HP (Health), ATK (Attack), MOV (Movement).
Types include:

Infantry — balanced frontline troops.

Cavalry — fast strike units (includes mounted and motorized).

Ranged — archers, gunners, or artillery.

Siege — heavy damage to fortifications.

Naval — ships, fleets, or sea-based mechanized forces.

👑 Hero Cards

Unique leaders or champions tied to each civilization.
Examples: Himilco of Carthage, Kızagan the War Axe God, Erlik, Skywolf Commander, Ashur General.
Heroes can activate one “Ultimate Ability” per game and often reshape the battle around them.

☀️ Deity / Aura Cards

Represent the civilization’s divine essence.
Provide passive auras (e.g., Aura — Iron Bone: the first hit each turn deals –1 damage) and may trigger one Invocation Effect once per match, granting immense power (e.g., “All friendly units gain +2 Morale for 1 turn”).

🧠 Tactic Cards

Strategic events that can be played during battle or at the start of a turn.
Provide powerful one-time effects, such as:

Volley Fire — coordinated ranged attack.

Chariot Blitz — rapid cavalry charge.

Iron Discipline — temporary defense boost.

Wrath of Ashur — divine siege bombardment.

4. Resource System

Each player generates three core resources per turn:

⚙️ Metal / Energy — to summon units.

🕯️ Inspiration — to deploy heroes or deities.

💎 Relic Points — to activate ultimate powers or secure victory objectives.

Additional resources can be gained from captured mines, colonies, and temples.

5. Turn Structure

Each round has three phases:

I. Preparation Phase

Draw 1–2 cards.

Collect resources.

Recover resting units (+2 HP).

II. Movement Phase

Units move up to their MOV value in hexes.

Entering an enemy hex triggers combat.

Special movement traits apply (e.g., Traversal lets vehicles cross debris or water).

III. Combat Phase

The attacking player resolves attacks first.

Damage is calculated as:

Abilities such as Knockback, Stun, or Moral Shock may trigger.

Hero and Deity effects can modify combat dynamically.

6. Morale System

Units and armies have Morale (MOR).

When Morale reaches 0, the unit retreats or collapses.

Some Auras or abilities affect morale (e.g., Shadow Descent → enemy units within 3 hexes suffer –1 Morale for 1 turn).

7. Victory Conditions

You can win the game in one of three ways:

Conquer all enemy capitals.

Hold the Dawnstone for 3 consecutive turns.

Suppress all enemy Deity Auras (draining their divine energy).

8. Civilization Traits

Each civilization in Eternal Dawn embodies a unique philosophy of war and survival, shaping how players approach the battlefield. The Turkic Khaganate thrives on movement, endurance, and morale dominance — its armies strike fast, encircle enemies, and break their spirit through relentless mobility and tactical pressure. The Phoenician Sea League transforms trade into warfare, using its mastery of naval routes and resource flow to outproduce and outmaneuver opponents across coastal and island maps. The Assyrian Empire, forged in iron discipline and siege mastery, advances like a living fortress: slow to move, but nearly impossible to stop once its war engines begin to roll. Meanwhile, the Carthaginian Empire blends intellect, economic prowess, and the symbolism of its war elephants into a doctrine of golden warfare, achieving victory through superior strategy, wealth, and unshakable morale. Together, these civilizations create a dynamic balance between speed, economy, discipline, and power — ensuring that every match in Eternal Dawn feels like a clash of philosophies as much as a battle

 of armies.

9. Game Duration

2 players: ~45–60 minutes

3–4 players: ~60–90 minutes

Campaign mode: Multiple maps with persistent heroes and evolving factions.

10. Advanced Modes

Myth-Tech Expansion: Adds mechas, energy weapons, and divine cyber-constructs.

Campaign Mode: Persistent heroes, diplomacy, territory control.

Fog of War Variant: Limits visibility and introduces reconnaissance tactics.

Final Damage = ATK – DEF  (minimum 1)
