Creating a game like Nanny’s Journey is a thrilling adventure, but it comes with its challenges. We could face several risks, and we want you to know them upfront: ⏳ Time & Delivery: While we have a clear roadmap and an experienced team, delays can happen. Development is full of unexpected twists, new bugs, balancing issues, or technical hurdles. Our goal is to deliver on time without compromising quality, and we promise to keep backers updated every step of the way. 📱 Mobile Porting: Bringing Nanny’s Journey to iOS and Android is a technical challenge. Controls and performance need to feel just as satisfying as on PC. Our team has experience in cross-platform development, but unexpected optimization issues may arise. 🎮 Community & Virality: We want Nanny to reach as many players as possible and to spark content creation online. While we have a plan and early proof-of-concept clips, virality can’t be guaranteed. Kickstarter helps us build that initial, solid community. 💡 Scope Management & Stretch Goals: Ambitious stretch goals and new mechanics are exciting, but we must be careful not to overextend. If some funding tiers or stretch goals are not fully reached, we will ensure that the goals that are achieved will be completed at 100%. This way, every contribution directly improves the game. Nanny's Journey

Welcome to Nanny’s Journey, a EXTREMELY challenging platformer where a demon grandmother climbs through hell armed with her grappling hook, a devilish eye… and a fiery temper.

Here, precision, timing, and nerves of steel are your only weapons. One missed jump, one miscalculated trajectory… and it’s a freefall into madness. In this game, falling means starting over. Every failure brings you closer to mastery… and the twisted joy of conquering the impossible.

🔥 Your Infernal Journey

  • Master Nanny: her grappling hook, her devilish eye, and deadly combos.
  • Explore twisted levels: learn the patterns, memorize the jumps, perfect every move.
  • Try to finish the game… if your nerves allow it.
  • Face true hell: speedrun challenges. Gravity, frustration, and yourself… everything is tested to claim the fastest times.

A cruel, absurd game… yet devilishly satisfying. Because nothing is scarier than a grandma in rage mode.

💀 Why It’s Special

Nanny’s Journey is our take on the “rage platformer”: skill-based, spontaneous, clippable, and as fun to watch as it is to play. Players often describe it as “frustratingly addictive”. It hits all the boxes that made hits like Only Up! or Getting Over It go viral.

Our current version is a proof of concept, validating the core gameplay loop: addictive, emotional, and perfect for short-form content. 

With your support, we aim to expand Nanny’s Journey to mobile and reach as many players worldwide as possible.

Nanny was never an ordinary grandma.
She didn’t smile while knitting; she yelled at neighbors, complained about everything, and her favorite weapon… was her broom. Beneath her white hair lurked an explosive temper, ready to blow at the slightest annoyance.

One day, everything changed.

While trying to catch her bus to visit her grandchildren (and probably scold the driver), Nanny tripped… and fell.
But this time, she didn’t just hit the sidewalk, she fell into hell.

In the depths of flames and chaos, she meets the Devil himself.
Arguments flare, insults fly, and the dispute escalates into a brutal and absurd battle.
In a fit of rage, Nanny tears off the Devil’s tail and eyes.

These infernal trophies become her tools:

  • The tail, now a grappling hook and deadly weapon.
  • The eyes, capable of revealing secrets of this twisted world.

Armed with these relics, Nanny embarks on an impossible journey: climb back to the surface… and, if possible, don’t miss her bus.

Every missed jump, every slip, every error pushes her further down, testing her patience, perseverance, and sanity.

This isn’t just a fall. It’s the journey of a grumpy, enraged grandma, ready to kick the Devil’s ass herself to get home.

Controls: Keyboard + mouse recommended for precision and speedrunning. Gamepad is available for “old-school pain.”

Grappling Hook: The Devil’s tail isn’t just a battle souvenir, it’s your best ally.

  • Swing, pull, and fling yourself toward the exit.
  • One misfire… and it’s a literal descent into hell.

The Eye: A more technical mechanic. Alone, it’s useless.

  • Combined with the grappling hook, it becomes a powerful tool to reach otherwise impossible areas.
  • Timing, precision, and cold-blooded nerves are your only chance.

Evil Jump: For the bravest players.

Aim at the ground with your hook, launch yourself upwards, and chain into:

  • another grappling hook
  • a perfectly calculated jump
  • or the ultimate combo: Evil Jump + Eye Throw, sending you to the top.

One mistake, and it’s the fall. One success, and you taste glorious (almost eternal) victory.

🏢 About the Studio

It all started in 2017, when Julien and Arnaud, two tech and gaming enthusiasts, decided to create Dev‑ID. Their dream? To build a digital workshop where creativity and technology collide, turning ideas into real experiences: mobile apps, web platforms, 3D projects, AR/VR… essentially, a playground for innovation.

But Dev‑ID isn’t just any studio. Here, knowledge is shared: through their “digital mentorship” system, experienced developers guide junior profiles or career changers, passing on their expertise with passion. In 2020, they even launched the Dev‑ID Academy to train talents from diverse backgrounds and integrate them into the team.

And because Julien and Arnaud are gamers at heart, a new dream was born: applying this expertise to video games. This led to the creation of Game‑ID, the gaming branch of Dev‑ID.

Today, a team of 8 passionate creators, led by Alexandre, works tirelessly to craft engaging, intense, and memorable games. Every line of code, every visual, every gameplay mechanic is carefully designed to deliver an unforgettable player experience… and now, they want to share this adventure with you.

Breathes life into characters and creatures with fluid, expressive animation.

Supports gameplay, tools, and systems, ensuring creative solutions and high-quality experiences.

The core team scales dynamically based on project needs, leveraging a trusted network of freelancers and Dev-ID’s extensive resources of developers, artists, and editors.

Nanny’s Journey is currently available on PC and Mac via Steam.
We’re actively working on a release on Epic Games to reach even more players.
And if the mobile port gets funded, the game will also be available on iOS and Android, so you can climb back up from hell… even on your morning commute!

❓ Why Kickstarter ?

We want to be completely transparent: our Kickstarter campaign isn’t just about money.
Developing and self-funding our games is a real economic challenge. Balancing creativity and financial stability is a high-wire act. That’s why we regularly work with external clients on gamification projects, which helps finance a portion of our original productions.

But beyond funding, Kickstarter is a strategic step for Nanny’s Journey.
It allows us to validate the project and demonstrate its potential to accelerators, publishers, and content agencies we want to collaborate with.
To do that, we need solid metrics: an engaged community, passionate players, and content creators sharing the rage-inducing (and hilarious!) Nanny experience.
