A bug was quashed which caused save games to break under particular circumstances. Unfortunately, these save games will now send you back to the beginning of the Act regardless of how far along they were. But hey, it's still better than being broken!

Medium at Large Update Now Available!

After 11 months of hard work (and 1 month of playing Zelda), Occult Crime Police: Medium at Large is now available! As part of this MASSIVE FREE UPDATE, you can expect:

A brand new novella-length mystery!
55 new character sprites, a dozen new environments, and a smattering of new tunes!
A full GUI Glow-Up, back-ported to the first game as well!
A new text skipping feature to fly by previously-read text!
Dozens of extremely minor technical fixes which literally nobody will notice!

Now, to reiterate a couple of things about this update: The engine has gone through a lot of updates in the process of developing Medium at Large, and as a result we can't guarantee that previous save files will still work. You can choose whether or not to roll the bones with your old save file, but you may run into glitches. Luckily, you don't need a save file to play Medium at Large! Just click "New Game" in the Main Menu, select Case 2, and you're on your way! We've also implemented a text skipping function into the game! Simply hold down the CTRL key to zoom past any dialogue you've already read before. (You can even go in the options and set Text Skipping to "All Text" to be able to skip all dialogue, though you might miss something important!) We've poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this new update, and we're so excited for all of you to finally experience it! We're also excited to share what's next for Occult Crime Police. A Couple of Quick PSAs

We're two days out from the release of Medium at Large, so we thought we'd mention a few things to know going in.

Save Compatibility

Occult Crime Police's engine has gone through a lot of updates in the process of developing Medium at Large, and as a result we can't guarantee that previous save files will still work. 'Medium at Large' Releases December 15th!

I said it would be out by Fall 2023, and I'm technically not a liar! The next chapter in the Occult Crime Police saga releases December 15th as a massive free update! Boomtown, USA is visited by a spirit medium who claims to be able to solve the case which ruined Sheriff Miranda Warren's life. When a murder occurs just before the seance, will Warren be able to put aside her biases and determine the true culprit? Announcing Case 2: Medium at Large!

Been a while, huh? We promised a sequel, and we didn't want to make ourselves a liar, so here's your first look at Case 2 in the Occult Crime Police series, Medium at Large!
Boomtown, USA is visited by a spirit medium who claims to be able to solve the case which ruined Sheriff Miranda Warren's life seven years ago. Everyone in town has a reason to be upset about the upcoming seance, but could someone be upset enough... to kill? (God I hope so, or this is going to be a short case) Relationships will be tested! Beliefs will be challenged! Secrets will be put to the test! This new content update features the first act of the new case, available for you to play right now! Additionally, the art has received a small optimization pass, which means that the file size should be 70mb smaller despite there being MORE GAME! Wow! That was definitely worth spending an entire day on! We can't say for sure when Medium at Large will release in full (that new Zelda's gonna delay things by at least a month) but you can probably expect the complete experience sometime in Summer 2023. Content Warning

Occult Crime Police is a murder mystery so naturally there's gonna be some slightly heavy themes in here. These themes are generally presented in a light-hearted manner. Content includes depiction of a dead body, discussion of murder, familicide, kidnapping, and implied consumption of alcohol.
