MALWARE Rewritten patch 1.0.6 has been released.
- Fixed weird collisions between capsule dropping enemy and player projectiles.
- Fixed various corners on S3L3 that could potentially softlock the player.
- Fixed Major Boss 2 press killing the player on contact even when the press is inactive.
- Fixed timer resetting to 00:00 if the player dies but then kills the boss after.
- Fixed camera peeking not working on boss levels.
- Fixed several projectiles dealing damage together at once.
- Fixed reversed gravity causing player to be unable to place a bomb.
- Added another bear.

Patch 1.0.5 |
MALWARE Rewritten patch 1.0.5 has been released.
- Added autofire.
- Changed difficulty text (CASUAL->NORMAL, NORMAL->HARD, HARD->EXTREME)
- (Hopefully) Covered some various spots around areas that would cause the player to get out of bounds.
- Player's life counter now resets back to 3 on (Now HARD) difficulty at the start if each level in case if they have less.
- Added some gravity reset areas around levels with inverted gravity to prevent players from going to irrelevant areas.
- Fixed player dying because of a "collision" with beams when they shouldn't collide.
After some thinking, the game is indeed way more enjoyable to play on casual than it is on "normal" mode, while normal difficulty was the intended way to play, it heavily relied on the player already knowing what to do and, was kind of hard because of that. Figuring it was kind of, wrong, the difficulty names have been changed so that casual difficulty is now THE normal difficulty to start with.
And a reminder, there are no bonuses for playing on different difficulties, and no achievements tied to them too.

MALWARE Rewritten patch 1.0.4 has been released.
- Fixed capsule dropping enemy crashing the game.
- Fixed big data not correctly counting towards the data counter if they're picked up with a dash.
- Fixed window size setting being set to 1x by default.
- Fixed inability to turn around if the player jumps in a 1 tile gap.
- Added more background variants for each stage.
- Minor tile fixes on Stage 3 levels.
While this detail was planned as an addition for the release, it was ultimately a low priority task. But now, stages have a slightly wider variety of backgrounds and stage 3 got it's own set of backgrounds too.
Also, the original Stage 1 background from MALWARE 2017 has been returned from the dead.

MALWARE Rewritten patch 1.0.3 has been released.
- Fixed achievements not unlocking if a level was launched from level select menu.
- Fixed "No Save" mode not decreasing lives count when restarting the game in the pause menu.
- Fixed a bug that did not allow casual difficulty players to restart the level in certain cases.
- Fixed some text in the prologue cutscene.
- Fixed some levels simply not having a termination barrier.
- Minor tile fixes on Stage 3 levels.
- Minor UI improvements.
- "No Save" slot has been moved to the end of the save slot row to not confuse new players.
- A time limit for a level has been increased from 10 minutes to 15 minutes.
