Hi everyone! Figured it's well past time I give an update regarding PoP development. :) Well, I do those frequently on the Discord (join!), but not as often on Patreon or Steam, since I figured the people who want lots of progress updates would join the Discord and get pretty much daily updates. Should I do more frequent formal dev updates, though? Let me know in the comments! Anyways, game progress is going exactly as expected. I'm still working through scene 3, but scenes 3 and 4 are the biggest chunks of content in the update, so that's expected. As you can probably tell from the title of the chapter (Maid of Honor), there's a lot of romance plot content and progression. I've already completed the lewd scene and animations that both paths will get (moved from the prior chapter), and I'm pretty happy with how my animation skills have been improving over time. I'm not a master yet, but I definitely think I'm getting better. However, pure romance content is my favorite content to write, since Maria, Emilia, and the MC all play off another really nicely in that regard. When Lune and Zaya come into the mix (depending on your path, obviously), they'll provide another really fun and interesting dynamic. This update is really focused on those three, though Lune and Zaya will take an increasingly large role in the following chapters. If you're on the throuple path, this chapter is where the romance path will really kick off. The romance situation is a major focal point (if not the main focus point) of this chapter, so you can expect a ton of content regarding how that's coming about. There will also be a throuple path lewd scene that is unavailable for solo path; people who want harem path eventually are on the throuple path for now. It's not going to be a full-on threesome - that would be too fast for a slow-burn game - but it will definitely not be a two-player game, if you know what I mean. If you're on the Maria-only path, this chapter deals more with everyone's places in the group, dealing with lingering tension between Maria and Emilia (since Emilia is not a "threat" in the solo path), and that sort of thing. This chapter will have slightly less content if you're on the Maria-only path, just because there's obviously a lot of narrative/romance work that has to go into setting up the other path. There is a Maria-only path lewd scene that throuple path players will not get, so that's something, but you can expect something like 80-90% of the content that throuple path players will get in this chapter. Other chapters will make up the difference in content so that, by the end, all the routes have pretty equal time compared to one another. :) I just want to make sure that everyone's clear from the outset that all paths get their time in the sun by the end of the game, but this chapter is definitely heavier on the throuple path than the solo route. This has turned into a much, much longer dev update than I expected, so I'll just close with the expected release timeline. In short, August 25th is my goal, but it could slide to August 27th. My birthday is right before the release date as is a big and important work project deadline, so while I'm aiming to get everything out by August 25th, the final polishes could take until the 26th or 27th. As usual, once we get closer to the release date, I'll be able to finalize it. :) TLDR: Throuple path has a bit more content than Maria path in this chapter. Each path has a unique lewd scene, plus a lewd scene that everyone gets. Aiming for August 25th-27th release window.
