On the first mayor update for Cosmic Magus we are taking a heavy inspiration from the Zelda game's most infamous area- The Lost Woods, first featured in the Ocarina of Time.
NEW ENEMY: SCRUBLING
Local to the Lost Woods area, this little fellow is not afraid of traveling to the edge of the cosmos to face against the Cosmic Magus. Be careful as they will spawn on every map.
They can cast Boomerang, Brambles and Morph.
There are a bunch of new features as well, here is a list below.

Hello folks, Welcome to the first post about the development of Cosmic Magus, we will quickly talk about current feature improvements and future development plans for the game. As you might already know, this game was heavily influenced by the playable hero from the game Dota 2 called Rubick, the Grand Magus. From the spell-stealing mechanic to the looks and voice acting of the main character are all similar to Rubick. This is to give players somewhat of a connection to the hero we all love and/or hate from Dota 2. -Current feature improvements I'd like to start by fixing some visuals aesthetics of the game that might cause frame drops for some computers, if you have really good specs on your PC and still get frame drops then make sure your resolution is set to the right one under options, this seems to be the problem most people encounter when playing the game. Balancing spells and enemy casting rates is a priority in the next upcoming updates, currently enemies cast spells at a random rate between 3 and 7 seconds. This is lowered to a maximum of 1.5 and 5 seconds as time goes by. New enemies are a priority as well as new maps. There are many ideas floating around about new enemies with very different and complicated spells to add to your spell casting experience, some of them are fire, poison and physical based spells. The idea that every enemy has a specific color and element they use for spells is so that the player can easily differentiate between who used which spell at any given time. -Future updates I have planned to update it on a monthly basis, first update will introduce new enemies as well as a Training Mode and new spells to use in your gameplays. There will be small updates fixing bugs and adding small features every week and one big update this late May. Thank you for reading and being interested in this game developed by 1 person on his spare time. Looking forward to more updates and input from the community on gameplay mechanics, enemies, spells, maps, etc. Best of luck out there casting spells! -David

Heavily inspired by Rubick, a playeable hero from the game Dota 2.
You are tasked with defeating endless waves of enemy warlocks that want to kill you, wait for them to use a spell and then steal it and use it on them.
Key features:
- Different levels inspired by pop culture - From Norse mythology to Lord of the Rings inspired maps, avoid falling off the edge in the chaos of spellcasting madness.
- Punishing dodge & spellcasting based combat system - Very fast phased gameplay, as time passes, enemies get stronger and more of them come at you, fortunately all your spells are AoE.
- Very different spells - Arcane bolt, piano, frostbite, impale, blink, icicle, solar slash and reflect are currently all in the game with more to come.
- Never ending madness - There is no time limit to this, you can play for hours if you can last it.
- Leaderboards - Compare your scores with your friends or globally.
- Achievements - Collect them after finishing the many different challenges the game has to offer.
Spells:
- Arcane Bolt - Shoots a arcane ball at the mouse position disintegrating whatever enemy comes in contact with it.
- Frostbite - After a 2 second delay, spikes will raise up from the ground at the mouse position and kill/freeze whatever comes in contact with them.
- Icicle - Shoots an icicle at the mouse position that drags the first unit it connects with and kills whatever other units it collides with afterwards, if it hits a wall, the impaled unit dies.
- Blink - Teleports the player to the mouse position instantly.
- Impale- Shoots a wave of impaling crystals in forward direction from the player towards the mouse position.
- Piano - Throws a piano up in the sky that arcs and lands at the mouse position after a 1.5s delay.
- Solar Slash - After a short channel, you move forward real fast and disintegrate enemies that collide with you.
- Reflect - When timed correctly it reflects projectiles towards the mouse position.
Content is constantly being added to the game on a monthly basis.
