As we have said, so has been done, the 2.0 update is here and Cathedral 3-D is going free to play! This patch took a lot of work and were very proud to present the changelog and get you up to date with all the new ways you can defend your Cathedral from these puny sacks of meat trying to chase you out of your domain.
CHANGELOG
[GAMEPLAY CHANGES]
We have redesigned the magic system, check out the new spells:
- Teleport the chest to your hands!
- Warp to the current location of the chest (super helpful when falling down!)
- Invincibility, so you can really become unstoppable.
[ARENA CHANGES]
- We redesigned the arena and added a large new area below. Go and explore!
- Enemies now can teleport around the arena, beware!
- We added new demonic altars that can protect the chest from enemy attacks. They also provide slow healing over time.
[IMPROVEMENTS]
- Due to numerous gameplay changes, we introduced a new leaderboard. The old one is still available in read-only mode.
- We have refreshed and improved the graphics of the arena.
[FIXES]
- We implemented numerous small fixes and performance improvements.

Giorgio from Feardemic here. Patch 1.6.66 introduces a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks in preparation for the next content update. "What content update?", you might ask, and the answer is "You'll find out when it's ready". Just know that is a major overhaul that will include new game modes, maps, and much, much more.

- Optimised the saving process of replays after a run. This is the first of many upcoming changes that will address missing replays on the leaderboard.
- Minor setting UI redesign. Keyboard and controller binding is now displayed as a single list.
- Fixed a bug that occasionally caused the game to crash and lose the saved configuration while closing the game
- Fixed a bug that made some users crash to desktop during gameplay when too many NPCs were on the map.
- Solved a performance issue caused by the second wave on GNU/Linux.

Feardemic is proud to announce the next generation of terror: Dark Fracture, a psychological first-person horror adventure game in which jump scares are the least concerning occurrences that the players will be facing. The recent influx of new players pushed the developer to work harder on improving the game experience, hence why we are pleased to announce that a new update has just been released on Steam. And yes, that annoying lag issue has finally been solved! Keep the feedback coming - we are always listening. Today we are introducing a brand new feature into Cathedral 3-D: melee attacks.
There are basically two new ways to kill enemies:
rip and tear
Press 'E' to use your claws and tear those puny humans apart!
crush them
The chest has been weaponized and can now be thrown against the enemy to crush them!
Oh, and throwing enemies now works as originally intended - make them experience gravity!
On top of that, as you might have noticed, enemies now leave a bloody mess around. Also, fire attacks now leave burn marks on the surfaces.

What's coming next
First and foremost, we'd like to address some concerns we've read over the forum and the reviews, as some of you have been expressed dissatisfaction for the lack of regular updates and lack of new contents. On the first point, you might have noticed that updates have no longer been published on a weekly basis. The reason behind that is pretty simple: reality hit us. Cathedral 3-D launch hasn't been a success, and neither us nor the developer are currently making any money out of it, as we haven't even recovered the costs yet. While Cathedral 3-D is a game about impersonating a terrifying monster, we are still just humans and have to pay bills and bring food to our tables, therefore we have no other choice but to prioritize our daily jobs.
BUT!
Today's patch should be a pretty clear signal that we are still committed to Cathedral 3-D and its players, and since we cannot promise you patches on a regular basis, future updates will always have more juicy stuff than just a few fixes as the last one. With that in mind, the following is a non-exhaustive list of things that are in the works and that will be added with future updates:

Hello monsters, DARQs Complete Edition release date has been confirmed!
On the 4th of December 2020, our friendly dev team Unfold Games will be releasing a new FREE DLC called The Crypt for their award-winning game - DARQ. On the same day, DARQ: Complete Edition will be released on consoles. DARQ: Complete Edition will come out with two DLCs included - The Tower, which has been already released on PC, and the aforementioned new DLC - The Crypt.

We have started to work on major content updates (such as maps and game modes have started), therefore fixes for this weekly patch are in a smaller number compared to the previous ones, but nevertheless, here we are with a new changelog - this time is based mostly on balancing. The patch will be live in approximately 2 hours.

- Killing doves now awards 4 points per dove killed
- Doves' attacks now deliver slightly increased damages to the player
- Monster's primary attack is now slightly faster but the projectiles are slightly affected by gravity
- Monster's shotgun-like attack now shoots a higher number of projectiles with a slightly bigger spread
- Monster's fireball attack power cost and buffer time have been slightly increased
- Max chest freeze time is now shorter (20 to 16 seconds)
- Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
