For all the lovers of the Bulanci nation, weve got some big news today!
In our big update, the Bulanci will dive headfirst into the chaos of war. In the new BATTLEFIELD environment, several new gameplay elements emerge that can completely shake up your current tactics. Like any proper battlefield, you'll encounter military trenches and discover their advantages and pitfalls. If you prefer control, seize a heavy rotating machine gun for a while, which will earn you considerable respect on the battlefield. However, aerial bombs will rain from the sky, so youll need to stay constantly alert, especially when ice storms can ruin your escape plans at any moment. Let's take a closer look at the features that will appear in the Battlefield environment.
Heavy Rotating Machine Gun
It has unlimited ammo and can also act as a front shield. Whoever controls it can eliminate entire hordes of enemies. Not even a solid brick wall will save them.
Aerial Bombs
To make things worse, enemy bombers are circling above. Luckily, you can somewhat predict the arrival of their bombs by the shrinking orange circle, but thats not much comfort. Not even trenches will protect you from them. Our only advice run!
Ice Storm
The bleak weather in the Battlefield environment is the complete opposite of a warm summer day in the Fairy Tale setting. Snow showers are common, and when combined with a sharp gale, youre in for some trouble. Some soldiers will suddenly move faster, while others will crawl like snails trying to escape danger. Fortunately, the trenches provide a safe haven from the storm.
Trenches
Two-level maps have been seen before, but the trenches are a bit different from their multi-story predecessors. In these narrow corridors, rocket launchers can explode right next to your face, and when you run out of bullets, theres nowhere to run. Youll need to think twice before charging into a long, narrow alley, especially with an enemy at the far end, gun at the ready. However, with ice storms and heavy machine gun bullets whizzing overhead, your decision might be a bit easier.
Barbed Wire
This simple invention can make life quite unpleasant. However, for a Bulanek, protected only by a thin layer of fabric, such an encounter is fatal.

Bulanci will also launch on consoles, with the official release on Nintendo happening very soon and more console versions following shortly after. There is definitely a lot to look forward to. In our first major update, Bulanci will infiltrate your room.
In our new setting KIDS ROOM, you can look forward to an interesting twist of the game mechanics. Face the feared robot, who goes around the room in all directions. Assault the kids train and take control over the battlefield. And the best for last you will taste the battle to transcend you to higher levels of being!
Lets take a look at three interesting objects, which will appear in the Kids room.
Trampoline
The trampoline serves as a fast transport between individual levels. Run at the trampoline, wait for your Bulanek to jump on it, and whee you fly to a higher level!
Robot
The robot is a merciless indomitable fighter. It moves in all directions and doesnt differentiate between any kinds of feather!
Train
Take a wild ride in the train! Just start the locomotive, and your pillowcase will flutter in the wind. You will gain one incredible advantage on top: as the first Bulanek in the world, you will be able to shoot in all directions.

Multiplayer
Online multiplayer is a highly anticipated addition to Bulanci, and were hard at work on it day and night. We understand you can easily defeat your loved ones already and have to test your mettle against some real machos in the online world. Even though we are relatively close to finishing the multiplayer, we want for it to be just perfect. This is why weve decided to expand the ranks of our testers and allow you to be a part of it. Bulanci Hit Early Access! Welcome to our first devlog. Lets have a look at how far we managed to go thanks to everyone who had supported us. More than 20 years ago, the world saw a tiny game called Bulanci, developed for desktop PCs, which found many fans in classrooms, households, offices, and PC cafs in Central Europe. There were even several expansions, and the game also received a mobile version later on. As time went by, the game ceased to catch up with new technologies and gradually became just a remote memory of cruel pillow fights. In 2020, Bulanci awoke again, mainly thanks to the massive support on the Czech crowdfunding platform Startovac, where Bulanci became the most successful project in the history of this platform. And so, the idea to create Bulanci 2.0 became reality, and the game grew from a small remake to a full-fledged project, with many new features and expansions wed never dreamt of. Today, however, Bulanci are coming to you only in Early Access for the time being, but thats mainly because we are interested in your feedback and we want to allow you to participate in further development of the game with us. Getting to this point was not a small feat; since the end of the crowdfunding campaign, there were several significant crises which shook the world, us included. In the end, though, we managed and we believe that the dedication we put into the game translated in proper battle mood. The Early Access brings three locations for now, which might spark nostalgia in players who are already familiar with Bulanci. These are the Fairy-Tale, the Factory, and Disco. Everything is new, however, and we also added team battles and Capture the Flag. You can play all of this with up to four friends using a single keyboard, or you can test your mettle against computer opponents. If you want to show Bulanci to your friends that are not next to you, you can invite them to play via Steam remote play.
And what is next for us?
Things are only beginning for us now, and we are looking to getting feedback from all of you who want to influence further development of Bulanci. In coming months, you can look forward to new maps, new locations and new game modes. We also plan to expand the history of Bulanci as well as the design of their appearance.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, we are proud to present a new, fluffy and deadly pillow soldiers also known as Bulanci. They are cute, chubby, seemingly clumsy things, but they behave and look like tough warriors, and when combined with weapons, they deliberately take the term "pillow fight" to a comical extreme.
Players can customize their characters – choose color, appearance, pattern, and small accessories such as a helmet, sunglasses, or headphones.
In the game, players will fight as individuals or in teams, trying to collect as many points as possible for eliminating opponents. Each level offers different game mechanics, thanks to which it is necessary to adapt the tactics of combat.
The game supports up to eight players on a single device. Of course, there is also the option of playing over the network. In the special Battle Royale mode, up to 32 players can participate in a network game. If there is a lack of teammates, it is possible to add computer-controlled opponents at any time.
Lock & Loaded
The game will offer seven deadly weapons to wreak havoc upon the battlefield in four different modes - Deathmatch, Conquest, Capture the Flag, and Campaign.
Deathmatch - players can either play on their own or split into two teams. The eliminated pillow soldier does not stop playing, hit player just loses points and reappears randomly on the battlefield after a while. The game can be limited by time or the number of lives each player has. At the end of the game, statistics are evaluated – who was the best in the fight, how many points each player scored and some exceptional moments of the fight are shown.
Conquest - purely a team game mode. Teams of players try to eliminate their opponents from the game within a specified time. The eliminated pillow becomes a captive of the opposing team. His teammates can free him during the game. The winning team is the one that captures all the opponents or enters the enemy base.
Capture the Flag - players on both teams try to capture the opponent's flag and bring it back to their base. The first team to succeed wins.
Campaign - story mode will take players through some memorable moments of Bulanci’s history. Each mission has different specifics, different goals, and unique feeling, different from the classic gameplay.
